Do you think there are more Mets fans than Yankee fans?
Question:Just wondering, because everyone around me seems to like the Yankees, and out of my class of 26 kids, 4 are Mets fans. Just wondering if its diffrent in some places, because I am a big fan of the Mets. PS I was busy last night. Did the Mets win their first game?

unfortunately there are more yankee fans then met fans because the yanks have been around longer, but that's no big deal because all of us met fans have extreme passion for our team and when it comes down to those inter-league games and we play the yanks it never matters if we win or lose because our team plays with more heat and soul and we give the yanks a rough brutal day..LETS GO METS!!Who would win? There are more Yankee fans in NY than Mets fans, but the gap isn't nearly as big as say Chicago or LA, where the Cubs and Dodgers completely own the fanbase in their cities. My guess is in NY, 55% of people who support NY teams are Yanks fans while the remaining 45% cheer the Mets. As a met fan, i would have to say no as for overall people in NY. but including outside of NY, i would say yea overall because a lot of people hate the yankees.And the mets did win, 6-1. LoDuca had 3 RBIs and Delgado had 2.

I think there are more Yankees fans than Mets fans. Personally, I'm a die hard Mets fans. There are more Yanks fans in my school than Mets fans. In one of my class, there are about 49 students and out of those 49, about more than 15 are Yanks fans and only me and this other guy are Mets fans. My friend is a Yankees fan and she called me a "traitor" for loving the Mets. By the way, the Mets won against the Redbirds last night 6-1. Sterling performance by Tom Glavine, rock solid defense (especially by Valentin and LoDuca) and strong offense.
