Where can I find an online video of Tulowitzki's unassisted triple play?
If he's the teams ace, ( as in Glavine's case) he wouldn't be pitching the last day of the season anyways. You'd want him to be rested for the first start of the playoffs. But seeing as how you're fighting for your playoff life, you BRING IN THE CLOSER!In the 9th inning as soon as the starter puts a runner, I pull him. He's gone long enough thrown enough pitches, now it's time for a fresh arm to retire the side.
Realistically if you had a shot at winning the game, would you keep the same pitcher in the game if he loaded the bases in the 9th inning? Nope, didn't think so.
There is no I in team, but there is a me, but that would be poor grammar, bench hit, and win the game.
Why is Barry Bonds so f***ing good?
You have to do what is best for the team.If it works out for the player, then fine but team goals should always override individual goals.Even the player going for the goal should realize this.If he doesn't,then he would not be worth having on your team.Little league rule for not playing a player in a game ? child plays in the LL magers?
Such a decision, no matter the situation in the game, the season, or the pitcher's career, is dependent only on how well the pitcher is still doing. The Padres have been a major league franchise now since 1969 and are one of only a small handful of teams that have never had a pitcher throw a no-hitter. The reason? Well, some of their pitchers have come very, very close, as in 8 no-hit innings, but haven't gotten any run support. The manager, each time, pulled the pitcher in favour a pinch-hitter, just to try to win the game. This is the only situation that I can think of in which I'd make my decision based on the situation and not on how well the pitcher is doing.
First of all if I was manager I would not let a 43 year old get to 118 pitches in the 9th inning. I would replace him with my closer to get out of the inning. Winning the Series is more important than individual accomplishments.
Why isn't Major League Baseball criticized for their involvement with steroids?
Think of it this way. You take the pitcher out and win the ballgame, you're a whole lot more likely to get into the postseason to give your 43 year old pitcher another shot at win 300. You leave him in and he ends up getting the win, great for him, but a high risk for the team. Leave him in and go to extra innings, you might as well have taken him out. Take him out in favor of a closer or a pitcher more likely to get the strikeout/double play and go on to win, he has the best way to get another start from scratch to get win number 300.he went the required 5 he will get the win if he wins
just get a good closer!
Jose Reyes best shortstop in new york (right now)?
Yes, he has earned it!The Pirates are undefeated...should we end the season now?
It would count if the pitcher was good aganist that batter all dy and in his carrer i would let him go, but give hime a good talk before theat bat. If he wasnt that good aganistthe guy i would pull him you do it for the team not for a person. It's a baseball TEAMIs Dontrelle Willis one of the best pitchers in the MLB?
First of all even if he holds Them scoreless you have to score in the top of the 10th for him to get his win. Otherwise he has to keep going.Next. You need a run in the 10th for him to win he holds and you'll need one to tie if he doesn't.
Last. I'd decide based on when he comes back up to bat. If he's due up that inning, you might be able to save a good pinch hitter if the situation allows him to bunt. Then his replacement then doesn't come to bat again for 7-8 more hitters
