What is the difference between a perfect game and a no hitter?

because the old one is getting old and its already had a few renovations like in the 70's and they have the money to move across the street and no they are not going to tear it down they're going to use it for little league a other stuff

How to break a new glove in?

For pretty much the same reason that any owners build a new stadium - greed.

Most old stadia are torn down.

NY Yankee fans are pessimistic about the future of the Evil Empire...Should they be? Are the Bombers through?

Yankee Stadium has nothing special about it? That's stupid. Gee, if it has history, doesn't THAT make it special?? Brilliant.

They are building a new stadium because Yankee Stadium is 84 years old and does not have as much to offer as the newer ballparks. Players have complained for years about lack of space in the clubhouses, fans have complained about not being able to see in some places, and the ballpark itself is wearing out. Do you remember in 1998 when a piece of concrete fell onto some seats? A new stadium would allow them to add many more luxury boxes, which is where teams make a big chunk of their money every year. It will actually seat a few thousand less then the current Yankee Stadium, but more luxury boxes means that they won't lose any money.

Also, Yankee fans deserve a new stadium. Since 1992, the Orioles, White Sox, Rangers, Mariners, Indians, Tigers, Braves, Phillies, Reds, Cardinals, Astros, Brewers, Giants, and Padres have had new stadiums built. Also the Diamondbacks moved into a brand new stadium when they began. Many teams have had several stadiums since Yankee Stadium was built, so the Yankee fans finally deserve one as well.

Why is it you hear no complaints when other teams build stadiums, but when the Yankees build one, it's because of greed? It was built in 1923 DUH!

Who are rivals with the yankees other than the red sox?

Yes they are going to tear it down, and they are building a new stadium bc they want to make it a better market for players to come to their team.

What's the record for back to back homeruns in a row?

The new stadium will bring in a ton of new money to the Yanks. And no, they won't be completely tearing down the stadium, but they will be changing it around. They're going to make it a place for kids to go after school and such. Playgrounds, etc.

Good place for softball uniform team patches?

Yankee Stadium is old. It's no Fenway. Fenway will be with us forever because its a classic. Yankee Stadium, to me, is no classic.
I'm not a big fan of Yankee Stadium - I'm glad to see it go. And I'm really glad to see a replacement being built for Shea as well.
