its difficult to explain online how to throw these pitches but ill do my best.Split finger- http://www.case.edu/artsci/sportsmed/spl... ( throw at a downward motion)
Sinker-not really sure how to throw but- http://www.freewebs.com/wbbl/sinker.jpg...
circle change-(throw like your karate chopping something)http://www.kangwon.ac.kr/~addba/html/bas...
cutter-throw 2-seam fastball like a curve
split.jam as far back in between ur index and middle fingers as you could..throw with an overhand motion...throw as fast as you could...snap ur wrist foward as hard as you could.ball should tumble. For this 2 work you must have above average velocity and a great wrist snap at the end.
circle change.have ur index finger and thumb form a circle.ball back in ur hand...all of ur last 3 fingers are on the ball. you want more skin in contact with the ball to create more friction to slow the ball down. Keep a stiff wrist...pretend there is a piece of chalk between ur thumb and index fingers and u wanna draw a straight line from top to bottom on a blackboard
cutter..grip like a fastball...pressure on ur middle finger.snap ur fingers upon release...try to pretend u r pointing a fake gun at the batter...u want ur index and middle fingers straight out
sinker.there are a couple of ways.throw from a submarine angle and that will essentially make the ball sink..or throw from sidearm or 3 quarters and come over top of the ball...so upon release or fingers are ON TOP of the ball...this will create downspin.or grip like a fastball.throw overhand.snap ur wrist back as hard as you can and throw the ball low to begin with and it should sink.basically try to create a downward spin on the ball.
except for the change all these pitches require velocity for them 2 be effective and they take a lot of practice. There is not set grip for these. Different pitchers use different grips
