How/where do I upload a picture of a MLB or any other sports team's logo for use here as an avatar?
Dave Kingman did the hit the ceiling of the Metrodome on May 4, 1984, 180 feet straight up and the ball got stuck in a drainage valve and he got credit for a single.Other players have hit speakers and gotten the ball wedged there in the old Seattle Kingdome and the Astrodome...heck Mike Schmidt hit one ball 120 feet up and 300 feet out and got a single out of it...but Kingman is the only one to literally hit the ceiling in a domed stadium.
Good question BTW
I am sure it probably is. I have seen balls hit the walkways that are up there so it is probably possible to go a little bit higher and get the actual ceiling too...
Yes. It happened several times back in the old Astrodome.
Jose Reyes seems ready to become the best player in the majors what do you think?
Yup. I think Papi did it at Tampa Bay one year.Best devensive players of all time by postion..?
yes it has happened allreadyHow dumb is MLB for scheduling warm weather team to travel north during the first week of April?
yes it is it has happened plenty of times in the metro domeWhat triple crown winner had less than 10 hr's and less than 100 rbi's ?
Yes, its happened many times. If it hits it, it is still in play, and a catch still counts as an out.its got to be, but it might have to be a stong swing from a strong player, like bonds ( that piece of s h i t)
Who is the best young player in the Majors that noone has heard of?
I think that people have actually gotten the ball through the holes in the metrodome ceiling. I remember hearing that it was ruled a ground rule double. On the subject of weird rules, the hanging speakers of the metrodome are considered in-play.
What is Carlso Silva doing differently than he did last year?
Yes I have seen it done before. What if Barry Bonds makes gets to the homerun record, but doesn't break it?
Mike Schmidt of the Phillies was the first player to hit the cieling of the Astrodome. There was no ground rule at the time,
After a lot of confusion over how to handle it,The umpires awarded him a single. .
Does anyone know where I could get a pair of cheap umpire pants online?
