Will a baseball bat lose its "pop" after sitting for long period of time without use?

Question:I have just bought 2 easton stealth comp cnt's. And i was going to use one of them until it gets ruined and just hold off on using the other one and i was wandering if it will lose its pop just sitting in the bat bag without being used

Answers:

Should the NL adopt the DH rule ?

No, unless it is exposed to extremely cold temperatures. The only way a bat should lose its pop is from too many times used.

What's up with Mariano ?

I suppose if you leave it long enough that it could rust or decompose sure, but by just leaving it in the garage for a year or something like that. Extreme temperature changes are never good, and leaving out in wet weather won't help, but it's not like a can of pop were if you leave it sit open it gets flat. It's a peace of wood plane and simple sitting in one place alone isn't going to change anything about it.

Is the currentt manager of your favorite team doing a good job?

i doubt it but overuse could do it.
