How could anyone actually like the Boston Red Sox?
Question:just really, really curious ... never could understand this
Answers:
Who is the best baseball batter this year?
You must obviously be a Yankee fan. For you, someone being a Red Sox fan is like me trying to understand women, you will never know! The same way that anyone could like any other team in the MLB, whether it be living in proximity to the stadium, becoming a fan through their recent success, or just finding some other reason to like them. They did win a World Series in 2004 in the biggest comeback in postseason history, becoming the first and only team to ever come back from a 0-3 series deficit, against the might Yankees no less. I really respected them for that, especially doing it against their biggest rivals in the sport - the New York Yankees. That shut a lot of Yankee fans up for a while.
Should small market team be run like the red sox?
Being from the city, so some loyalties certainly lie there, or perhaps loving a player from the present or past. As in any team in any sport - there's no right reason to love a team. Passion and love of a sports team can certainly be healthy - as long as it's not an obsession!I have a question regarding becoming a pro baseball player?
Its the same as the Cubs...we love to cheer the "underdog" but don't want to go so far as to cheer for someone with no chance at all at winning. Its more fun to root for a team that doesn't always win the whole thing, but isn't out of it in July either. The hatred of the Yankees by small market fans also leads to more people cheering for their hated rival. Are the Milwaukee Brewers for real this season?
It is quite interesting. My coworker is a big Red Sox fan. We have some very interesting discussions. I love leaving print-outs of the Red Sox game report when they loose on her door. Those are always great mornings!Apart from being from the New England area, I have no idea.
Some people also eat thinner steaks, drive smaller cars, and date ugly women, too. It takes all kinds, I guess. . . .
I have a Dan Uggla authentic autographed home jersey?
how could anyone like baseball period..its boring just like americansThe brewers game was delayed. Who won? Is it postponed?
How could anyone NOT?How could you not? they've came through many trials, BEAT THE YANKEE'S once and now have a excellent pitcher.
What happened to Keith Van Horn.?
How could anyone like any team? Maybe because someone lives in the New England region and that's the only professional baseball team there. How could anyone like the Yankees? New York has the Mets too.J.D. Drew is a lying, money-hungry buffoon.
The Pittsburgh Pirates will never be good because...?
red sox fans throw pizza at each other.Does anyone know anything about Babe Ruth that I should know for a project for him in school?
History I"M A TRUE RED SOX FAN plus i'm from New England originally so I'm proud of My Roots plus they play at Baseball's Most Historical Ballpark Fenway Park, so all that including six World Series Titles and legends like Ted Williams Yaztremski, Fisk, and Ortiz The RED SOX are the best Baseball actually got.I need a name for an high school pitching MVP. I dont like to use the "MVP"..any suggestions?
The same way you could like any other MLB team. Dont be mad just because you simply dont like them. And let me guess you like the yankees right? probably just because everyone else does.Any tips for playing 3rd base?
If you're not from New England, I don't know why you would be a fan. Its a team with a history of loosing tradition. Heres everything I can think of though. They're an easy team to follow. You can know nothing about baseball and still get the latest on them by just turning on the TV. The fan base is large, so wherever you go, you'll be accepted by someone. You can buy a Redsox hat at Wal-Mart for $5.00. When they won the world series, there was a lot of hype about breaking the curse, which was one of the most famous of all time. Every year, they're in the market for some of the best players and put together a good team that can compete. They're one of the most covered teams by ESPN. Recently, the whole Yankees Redsox rivalry has gotten blown way out of proportion. The whole evil empire thing was obserd. They have a distict enemy, so as a fan you know who to hate. The media has portrayed them as helpless victims and the Yankees as the bad guys with the $200 million payroll. Just now, I heard espn advertising for when the Redsox and Yankees play, and they called it the "Perfect Game". Who wouldn't want to be a part of that. If you are a Redsox fan, not from New England, and agree with most of these points, then you're a bandwagoner, plain and simple. Boston is a city full of Homosexuals and has a murderer for a senator, so being a Redsox fan isn't the worst thing happening there. And for the record, I hate the Yankee's too, but not as much as the RedsoxHow do you throw a 12-6 curveball?
