In a book published in 1999 No-Hitters: The 225 Games, 1893-1999by Rich Westcott & Allen Lewis
The odds were figured at approximately 1,600-1
Another site reports 1,300 to 1 much better than being struck by lightning which is 600,000-1
There are few more dramatic events in baseball - or perhaps in any sport - than a no-hitter. In the past 106 seasons, there have been 225 Major League no-hit games of at least nine innings, making the odds against such a feat approximately 1,600 to 1. The no-hitter is truly a special occurrence that has no equal on the playing field.
In this book, each of modern baseball's 225 no-hitters is discussed in full. A brief profile and career record of each pitcher are given. The game is recapped, including details on how a batter reached base against the no-hit pitcher and what happened to that batter. A box score for each game is also included. A photo of almost every no-hit pitcher is provided as well. Appendices list no-hitters in which more than one pitcher participated, complete game no-hitters of less than nine innings, and no-hitters pitched before 1893 (when the mound was only 50 feet from home plate). The foreword is by Jim Bunning, who pitched two no-hitters and one of only 11 perfect games in baseball history.

3 players born in Ohio with 300 home runs?
Lol rarely...Usually one to two per year in the big leagues. To put that in perspective we must do a ratio:
32 teams X 162 games per year= 5184 games per season.
Only two per year are no-hitters(on average) giving us a percentage of .0385%.
Perfect games are even more rare. 1 every 12 years on average= .0016 percent. only 11 total in all MLB!!
want to know the rarest achievemant in Baseball? the unassisted triple play, only twice has that ever happened.
Who are the all time win leaders by a manager?
That is a good question, given how little amount of time has passed into this current season and how late the one in the previous season was thrown. There has been a movement in baseball over the course of the past couple of seasons that has been gaining momentum to let a starter go for 9 innings (still have your bullpen ready at a moments notice). Also with a majority of players who are like Adam Dunn and will swing at anything and strikeout 200 times in a season, I would say that we could be getting into an era where no hitters while are still a feat could become a bit more common.Ken Griffy Jr. Autograph Card?
There is about one pitcher a year who throws one, but as for a specific pitcher. Many do not throw one in their entire careers.Should i trade kelly johnson and bill hall for brian roberts?
Here's a link to the list, and it's absolutely up-to-date. You'll notice, I'm certain, that no hitters are not thrown with any degree of regularity. There were 2 1/2 seasons between Randy Johnson's perfect game and Anibal Sanchez no-hitter last September, but just a few weeks worth of season between Sanchez and Buehrle. There can be seasons with no no-hitters, there can be multiple seasons between no-hitters, and there can be seasons in which it seems that just about everyone throws one, as in the nine thrown in 1990.
Most pitchers go their whole career without throwing one, without coming close to throwing one. Many fans can go their whole life without witnessing one, either in person or on the TV/radio. I've been privileged to witness 3 of them, but I've never been at the yard for one.
