No hitter in baseball?

Question:I understand what a no hitter is. but during a game if a pitcher walked a hitter purposely because some good reason the hitter is good reach the base by walk. that doesnt mean the pitcher got a no hitter after the game even though the opposite team didnt score. that means the pitcher is to scared to face the hitter so that shouldnt give the pitcher a no hitter. thats stupid. A pitcher should face every hitter with ground outs or strike outs now thats a no hitter

How do you throw different baseball pitches?

It's called smart managing, going with best matchups to win which the #1 goal is to win. In my opinion baseball especially in Natioal League finding the right matchups is key especially in the late innings because of the fact that the pitcher hits in the NL. The answer your question it is still considered a no hitter, the key word being hits. You can walk 5 men strikeout 4 win 1 to nothing and you still threw a no hitter but not a perfect game. Of course it is still possible to lose a game if throwing a no hitter. Causes would be bad defense, too many walks.

Who is your favourite team in baseball?

Buherle did pitch a no hitter, it was not a perfect game though. He did walk Sosa. I will bet ya if he could do it over again he would have pitched to Sammy.

Brewers in the world series? why or why not?

Beaning someone or walking someone does not end a no hitter. It ends a perfect game. Perfect game is 27 up, 27 outs. A no hitter is no hits. There can be runs scored without the aid of a hit (error, passed ball, walk)

Does any1 else think A-Rod will smash the all time homerun record? hes only 32 years old & 22 hmrs from 500?

Regardless of whether or not he walked a guy he still did not allow any hits, so the no hitter should and will always be a no hitter. But he would have lost the chance to get the perfect game by walking any batter. What you're describing is called a perfect game, which does happen, but is also one of the rarest thing in sports.

What's the call?

That is why there is a distinction between perfect games and no-hitters. Of the 233 no-hitters ever thrown, only 17 were perfect games in which no batter ever reached 1st base, for any reason.

No, that's a perfect game.

A no hitter is when no batter reaches on a hit. A perfect game is when no batter reaches by any means.

Further, walks don't indicate that a pitcher is scared of any particular batter. Walks are a matter of the pitcher's control being off, or walks are situational strategies in order to get to the next hitter, for whatever reason. Walks are not, as you seem to want to believe, about cowardice. What does it say about you that you want to believe that?
