Are you against Bonds breaking the homerun record? Why or why not?

Question:Mr. Barry Bonds: http://www.streetcow.com/04-14-06_barry-...

Answers:

Do you think a-rod will break all time/single season home run records?

No I'm not, a lot worst things have happened done by baseball players with no consequences against them. Cheating was considered part of the game at one time, just ask Gaylord Perry.

Is it juts me or is arod sweet this year?

i am dead against it

it is very obvious that he took steroids. It is not fair to the people who didnt take steroids, like hank aaron and babe ruth. He should not be able to get to play baseball, let alone break the record.

Was Pete Rose the baseball player a homosexual ?

100% Against. The record was set without the use of performance enhancing substances. It should be broken in the same manner. Either that or there should be a disclaimer in the record books under his name that reads "Home run record achieved with the assistance of performance enhancing drugs"..

What is considered a Hold for relief pitchers?

I am against it!

I'm going to Boston to a Yankees/Red Sox game on April 21st. How should I dress??

isuksa lupa es kumpa lukupa sta koo sa umplamno, for sure

What is the minor league baseball team with the logo with the glaring eyes?

i think if he breaks it, there should be an asterisk that says:

* during steroid era.

Over/ Under on the next Lou Pinella tirade?

Hes a cheater and an arrogant bastard. Babe Ruth might of been a womanizer and a drinker but the only foreign substance in his blood stream was hot dog grease. Hank Aaron had a lot of pressure do to racist pieces of crap threatening him but he showed he was a real champion. Barry has no respect for the game and I have no respect fopr him. Congratulations Barry

I know tons of people hate Barry Bonds, but does anyone out there actually like the guy?

nope

GO BARRY BONDS AND THE GIANTS!!!

nice pic btw

Which players wore the number 42 honoring jackie robinson on jackie robinson day, April 15, 2007?

100% against him. Granted, he has yet to test positive. That doesn't mean he didn't do it. Remember the cream and the clear that Sheffield and Giambi admitted to? Those came from Bonds' trainer, who is sitting in jail because he won't testify against Barry. If Barry is innocent, then why not testify? I know i'm a 'hater', but the 'lovers' need to face fact the steriods and HGH do help you, otherwise they wouldn't take them! If may not have been cheating then, but Bonds didn't do it naturally, neither did Big Mac. Roger Maris and Hank Aaron are the rightful record holders.

Hank Aaron earned everything he did, as did Maris. Bonds can't say that, he had help.

Eventually, A-Rod will break this record which I will be fine with. It will suck to have this disgrace of a man to hold this hollowed record for even that short of a time. I hate Barry Bonds! I hope A-Rod has some huge years here in the near future to get this record back to a legitamate player who earned it and does it the right way.

When will the Phillies finally get rid of Charlie Manuel and Pat Burell?

HATERS! PROVE IT! He is one hell of an athlete, DEAL WITH IT! I hope he smashes the record just for people like you HATERS! Keep trying to deface one of the best baseball players ever! Still waiting on medical proof! Until they prove anything he is legit!

Do you think yhe angels should send santana to the minors and cal up saunders?

kavid we won't need to prove it because professionals in the medical field will

Why does MLB schedule early games in cold weather...?

AGAINST! You know he took steroids. Just look at him. I'm sorry, your head doesn't grow past 20. It's been documented that his head grew 2 full hat sizes since he's been with the Giants. Plus he's gained about 40 lbs. too. If you look at the great home run hitters of the past, once they turn 30 their totals start to decline. Barry Bonds is a cheater and just like they won't let Pete Rose into the Hall of Fame, they shouldn't let Barry Bonds into the record books.

Is dice-k really all that good??

I AM AGAINST IT.. Barry Bonds is a cheater.. he has a girls voice is overweight n get injured alot that is all the evidence u need.. steroids make u into a girl with small ballss a girlly voice n detroyes ur body creating easy injuries.. i hope he dies in hell..

WHEN IS THE RED SOX SEASON OPENER ON ESPn?

Yes, one word: roids

Is baseball really harder than softball?

Babe Ruth played in the dead-ball era. Hank Aaron stayed the same size his entire career, and endured constant harrassment by white America, and still broke the record with class. Bonds started out Aaron's size, and balooned up to almost Ruth size. He played with a juiced baseball (proven by scientists), and with a juiced body (proof to come). He should have the last 200 taken away from him.

When Barry Bonds breaks Aaron's career home run mark, Should an asterisk be by his name like Maris?

I am totally against Bonds breaking that record. First of all he's a Giant(I'm a Dodgers fan) and second, he is clearly a steroid user. It would be unfair to for him to obtain a record by using substances that others like Hank Aaron and Babe Ruth did not use. If Bonds does break the record, hopefully A-Rod,Pujols, or somebody else in the future will make sure the record once again belongs to somebody who is not a cheater.

Why Do So Many People Want Pete Rose Kept Out Of The Hall Of Fame?

I'm for Bonds breaking the record. No solid proof that he took Steroids. Only growth enhancing hormones. Most of the people here are not educated enough to tell the difference and don't know that there are other substances out there.

Steroids will not help you hit as many HR's, score as many TD's or make an outrageous amount of baskets. Just recover from injury quicker.

I dont know the formula for pace, so what date is bonds on pace to hit no. 755 (he just hit 741)?

ya because that fake person does steroids.

What is the proper way to throw a curve ball?

NO I am not...he has worked his butt off for a very very long time...he may have used enhancers but admitted to it in the end and now he can go on..I mean yeah the enhancers helped him but HE DID IT ALL! He is a great athlete.I say go for it Barry...hit it over the wall baby!!

Here's a hard one. What's the first play in World Series history?

I hope he breaks it...

What is the NY Yankee record for the highest batting average in a single season and who holds it?

Do you know how hard it is to hit a baseall that good? If you did you would have a answer to your question!

The Yankees really suck this year. Can Clements turn them around?

I hope he Breaks the Record you guys just need to leave him alone. You accuse him of taking steroids with no proof.

What do you make of curt schilling's comments on barry bonds?

I have no doubt that he will break the record. However there should be some kind of disclaimer - (non guilt implying) - that during this time in the history of baseball, the use of steroids were rampant.

e

Will the astros make it to the world series?

I'm looking forward to the day that he breaks the record. He's the greatest player baseball has had since Babe Ruth and arguably better than Ruth. The media loves to blame his success on steroids though to do so takes complete ignorance of the facts.

1.Pitchers also used steroids. If everybody used them, they would actually decrease offense, not increase it
2.Offense has increased since the program started. 2006 was the best year for offense yet.
3.Bonds was a great player prior to when he allegedly started taking steroids. Even when Ken Griffey Jr. got all the glory, Bonds and Craig Biggio were still greater players.
4.Bonds is still a great player at 42ish. His OPS last year was higher than it was any year until 1992 and he only appeared to have a bad year because of how great he had been. Most players are lucky to ever have a year half as good as that. Nobody's ever been this good at this advanced an age.
5.There are better reasons for the offense increase. The strike zone is really small. Players work out nowadays (thanks to Bo Jackson). Global Warming has increased offense. Ballparks are really small. Many of the Middle Relievers belong in the minors. Pitching motions are screwed up.
6.Offense was higher in the 20s and 30s. A player hitting .400 was not a rare event in those days. Night baseball and the Global Cooling of the 40s-70s dropped offense. It's only now offset the damage.

The media just needs to admit that Bonds is a great player. To continue this vendetta just shows how unprofessional they are.

The stretch..the pitch? Did you ever get much out of listening to baseball games on the radio?

I am strongly against him breaking the HR record. I hope he gets indicted before he ever gets close to breaking the record. And if he does surpass Hank Aaron, nearly everyone that's not a SF fan will care. Because we all know he is a cheater, even if he hasn't be indicted yet. So tell me doubters, how does he have a huge dome and huge feet then?

Can you explain that to me? I'd really like to know. You don't just get huge by working out, let me tell you. It's pretty obvious, if you ask me. You know he did it.

If he does break it, I hope it's on the road so that way the road crowd and nearly everyone would boo him! You know nobody cares when Hank Aaron and Bud Selig aren't going to bother showing.

I think Derek Jeter has a shot at breaking Pete Rose's all-time hit record, do you agree?

I don't care, but the idea that Bonds is the first HR king to use performance enhancers is stupid. Greenies or amphetamines have been used in Baseball since the glory days of Ruth and DiMaggio. Aaron used them, as did almost every player of that age. At the time they thought amphetamines were good for you since they made you feel better. The same argument was used though on things like tobacco, cocaine and weed.

We know for a fact that Ruth, Aaron and Bonds have all used amphetamines, so I don't see any difference there. Steroids are another issue all together, but topical steroids like the ones Bonds is accused of using have been around long enough that many great ball players have probably used them.

Are any members of the Twins going to get an award on Saturday?

I am definitely against it!

I do believe that Bonds cheated. Have you looked at pics of him from his Pittsburgh days?! He didn't gain all that muscle by lifting weights! Plus, he is a complete jackass. He doesn't care about the fans, the team, or MLB. All he cares about is himself. The only reason he wants to win a World Series is so he can call himself the best player of all-time! He is a disgrace to the game. I'm disgusted that a person like him represents the sport of baseball. I certainly hope that he doesn't break Aaron's record! In fact, I hope that some day, his other records are erased from the record books!

The L.A. Dodgers will all be wearing the number 52 on April 15 to celebrate the debut of Jackie Robinson .?

Not really against it, I really do not care one way or the other if he breaks the record.

New Baseball Glove Web?

totally if you look at him when he played for the pirates he could hit.. and in fact is one of only 4 members in the 40/40 club. he could always hit.. when he went to the giants he got TWICE as big which helped him increase homeruns... he is obviously taking steroids. and its a shame.
