Unfortunately, almost all of the best sites - Beckett, Tuff Stuff, Sports Collector's Digest - are paid sites. However, Tuff Stuff does offer free online pricing for what they term "less active" sets, which covers everything not included in their monthly publication. You can check them out here, and they come in PDF format:

There's also a site called "The Pit" that operates similar to a stock market ticker, showing real-time pricing for cards, but their selection is pretty limited. If you've got a bunch of cards from different years - and especially if they're older - I'd suggest just checking the Beckett annual guide out from your local library.
