If you could pick an expansion team (new team) to be brought to MLB what would it be?

Question:What would be the city/region you would most want represented? For fun, feel free to mention names & which league (AL vs. NL) too or even expansion teams for other sports (NHL, NBA, NFL, MLS, etc...)

I was thinking a New England team would be interesting. Only problem is the NL-east & AL-east already have five teams. A Portland, Oregan team might help add to the four team AL-west.

Answers:

Why hasnt NL ever gone to DH?

I think a Baseball team in Portland would be smart. The Nationals should have shifted there, but since the AL and NL need to have an even number of teams it didn't happen. If Portland did get a team they could finally add a team to the AL West and not have it be such a joke of having 4 teams. I like the AL West, but come on the NL Central has 6. Something is just odd. Seattle would also have a true natural rivalry. As I said earlier it would be cool for a Baseball team in Portland.

Who is the best player right now and why?

The midwest really sucks for sports, maybe something in this area. Hockey in the NE/IA/MO area would be really nice, but theres not much fan base for that.

Also, theres always room for more baseball! I'd like NE/IA to get a professional team but people just view us as cornfields.

How to change link names?

VEGAS!! Why does this city have ZERO pro sports? (it also solves your AL West problem too)

Number of home runs by Babe Ruth?

Just turn a colloege football team into a MLB team. Like the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Nebraska needs a professional team, and tackle-baseball would be entertaining to watch.

Name 3 MLB players that will hit a homer tonight?

Honalulu Honeybees

Do you honestly think the yankees or red sox will win tonite?

Portland would be nice. I also think the Nashville would do well with one...I don't know where I would put them, but I think a Major League team in Nashville would just do well for some reason.

Who thinks the padres will have a good year!??!?!?!?!?

i'd like to see a team in orlando, florida. i live here and think it'd be a great city to put a new expansion team in. i think i'd want it to be an american league team so they could play my yankees. all i'd ask is no more "fish" team names (marlins, devil rays) also, i think its about time new jersey got a team. would also love to see a pro football team in o-town as well. maybe we could upgrade the ORLANDO PREDATORS to nfl status?? who knows. it'd be fun to watch the gruden brothers go at it in a coaching battle.

Do Manny Rameriez and David Ortiz go out with each other?

San Antonio needs a team. Put them in the AL West. Voila! Instant rivalry with the Rangers.

Baseball sucks.?

I think we need an expansion team in Mexico.

Best baseball taunts.?

It would be very difficult for a new region to support a baseball team considering the length of the season and the size of a typical park so I don't think expansion for baseball is something to consider. I would like to see something done regarding the lopsided divisions since that affects the playoffs. So a reshuffling of teams within divisions and even leagues might be something to consider.

On the other hand there are many cities that could add a football team and the NFL is ripe for expansion (Portland might be a good location). It' a shame they are more interested in going global and I believe we are more likely to see a new team in Mexico or Canada than the U.S.

Who do you think will win the AL centreal this year,?

Two of these three:

Portland (OR) Rivermen

North Jersey Diamonds

Havana Liberties

...and realign the divisions, and the leagues, however necessary (don't care which teams end up where) into two leagues, four divisions, four teams each, division champions go to the postseason.

Portland is ready.

NJ could support a team, and help cut down the market advantage that the Yankees and Mets exploit.

Havana would eat up major league baseball for three meals a day, but unfortunately this one cannot happen until a certain state funeral is held.

What is the worst stadium in the league?

Rancho Cucamonga Cracker Killers. I would like to see Ice Cube on that team.

How will Yankee fans react if ARod breaks HR record, & the team misses the playoffs?

Memphis would be a prime spot! The NBA team the grizzlies suck everyyear and they have a huge following down here. Baseball would be very awesome!

The Memphis Blues
The Memphis Rockstars
The Memphis Suns (like the record company that discovered elvis, johny cash, and jerry lee lewis)

Anything to do with music!
