Yankee fan: ugh i say barry bonds! He wouldn't be nearly as good a player as he was if he didnt take drugs. David Ortiz is cool, I mean he's got skills, and Manny Ramirez, although extremely cheesy and irritating, isnt a walking talking steroid man. Jeter and his giant head has been keeping the Yankees from winning the World Series for almost a decade now so its tough to hate him as a Red Sox fan but I like the other 2 you mentioned so I have to go with Jeter.Run on sentence FTW.

OK Barry bonds, I have ZERO respect for. I don't like him as a person or a player. I think he is a cheater and he does not seem to enjoy or is even thankful for his talent. Manny and Ortiz are Sox and they are hated but only out of the utmost admiration for thir talent. They are great players for the rival.
NOBODY can every doubt they have fun on the field and love the game. Manny is a space cadet but it is funny. Ortiz is a house but seems like a teddy bear. When Melky robbed Manny last year, you saw how these guys love the game. They actually enjoyed the great catch.

Red Sox fan here...I can't stand A-Rod..he just rubs me the wrong way..too arrogant for my taste..You will notice that I did not say 'hate" because I don't hate anyone or any team. I just love my Red Sox and don't like the Yankees..I have respect for some of their players but, don't like the team in general because of 1978 playoff game..they broke my heart..and you know how a woman is towards someone that broke her heart..... :)

Sox fan. I don't like any of these gentlemen, but I certainly don't hate any either.I'll never like Jeter, but I'll admit he's a good player. A-Rod basically handed us the '04 ALCS, and his distracting mental issues last season were just laughable, so I have nothing to really hate there. Barry Bonds is simply just a part of the steroids scandal that has basically illegitimated much of the most exciting parts of the last two decades of baseball. He's about to break the most cherished record in sports, and it will be terribly anticlimactic because no one knows if it will be recognized or not. ESPN will certainly eat it up, but the rest of the baseball world will just shrug.
