Question:are the red sox the little empire. They own their own network, payed players to come to boston and they act like a cooparation just like the yankees, they seem to be all about the money just like the yankees.

I think your question is really interesting, and I agree. After their WS win, they've become more cocky. They're in this for the money now, and they're definetly turning into the big guys [yankees]. I'm somewhat dissapointed, because I liked the down to earth Bosox who had hope even when they didn't have the best guys. i think you're right to a certain degree, but the red sox do not spend to the level that the yankees do, and tend do be more willing to develop their farm system...yes they do spend more than every other team except the yankees and at least this offseason the cubs, but i don't think they do all the same things that the yanks doHas anyone ever heard of a pitcher by the name of Red Hot Garvin?

Personally, I do think that the Red Sox are acting like "the little empire". There's not much doubt about that. They used to act like they should be loved because they hadn't won a world series in decades. That's how they earned their money. Now that they've won ONE World Series in SEVERAL decades, they are hungry for more. Who are they trying to prove? Are they trying to get more World Championships than the Yankees? If that's the case, then they have a LONG way to go. $$$$$$$$Has anyone every heard of Diamond Sports softballs?
