YES!! They won! That awful, overrated Derek Jeter continues to suck, as he could only manage a game-tying two run single to tie the game at 5. I don't know how we've managed to live with him and his putrid .317 career average all these years.I keep hearing how the analysts on ESPN, such as Olney, Stark, and Gammons didn't pick the Yankees to make the playoffs. I say they will be wrong at the end of the season. The Yankees will pound people all season, and their pitching will surprise people. Wang comes back late this month, and the Yankees will begin their inevitable march to another A.L. East title.

It was actually this afternoon and yes they won 9-5. It was a good game. Pavano started and stunk it up and the Yanks fell behind 5-3, but Jeter tied the game with a clutch hit and then they went ahead thanks to Abreau. Mariano Rivera came in to close it out.
