How will you feel when Barry Bonds breaks HR record?
Question:Just several more HRs and sadly the record will be broken.I will hate to see it over and over again on ESPN (actually I'll turn it) when the record is broken. Yes records are meant to be broken but not in a tainted way. This is one athlete that I absolutely have a great deal of disgust for.

I don't like Bonds for his personality. As for the alleged (Ha!) steroid use, well...that actually doesn't bother me as much. There's more to hitting home runs than brute strength. In my heart of hearts I'll feel his record is a legitimate one. I just wish someone I respect as a man had attained it.Sorrow, anger, sadness.

It won't bother me, nor willI I be joyous. I think Bonds is a Hall of Famer whether he hit 1 or 1,000 homeruns. Furthermore, I don't really consider it cheating. I don't think it is right, but because baseball turned a blind eye to it for so long, they basically embraced it. But I hate the Giants!When is a baseball player considered a rookie?
I'll be bummed to see such a jerk like Barry break the record.He's classless and a complete a-hole.Hank Aaron is the opposite.He had to deal with way more and did it in style with class.Hank grew up poor and worked hard to attain his achievements.Barry grew up with everything and anything he wanted.He was spoiled and coddled growing up.If that isn't enough,he's a jerk to everyone and he friggin cheats by taken the juice and the cream and the clear.Too bad hes gonna get the record.I wish he could hit it on the road so he could hear the boos.But you know that they will hold him out of the line-up with 1 homer left until a big homestand so he can hit it in San Fran.Typical Barry stuff.Screw the team,its all about me.Why is everyone so negative about the white sox this year?

I agree 100% . All along I've been hoping he would suddenly decide to stop playing baseball, because I will be extremely disappointed and disgusted if/when he breaks the record. Again..Al s. says " screw the team it is all about me" when it comes to barry's attitude. Obviously someone that doesnt watch the giant games just goes on hype. The man has the most walks in history. He didnt go out of the zone in 2001 when he needed a couple more hr's to break the single season record and only had a hand full of games left. Unlike mcgwire and especially sosa that would swing at anything the bat might reach to maybe hit a homerun. Barry does what is best for his team. If they want to pitch around him he drops his bat and goes to first. Late in the games he is notorious for stealing second and perhaps even third following the walk to help his team win. He never gets caught stealing. He is just a remarkable ballplayer that more so than anything just wants to win and be a winner. I will be glad to see the greatest ballplayer of our generation get the last record that matters because he already has the rest along with his 7 Mvps.Why would you want to visit the Babe Ruth Museum in Baltimore?

COME ON A-ROD!i won't really "feel" anything, but i will be interested in seeing the reaction of certain people, in particular bud selig and hank aaron...other than that, we will just have to wait and see the results of steroid tests in the future, and if he's found out then he's found out

You know what is sick - Some day, 7 or 8 years from now, Alex Rodriguez will break Barry Bonds career home run record and I have a feeling more people will complain about that than about Bonds passing Aaron.BTW, I predict Arod reaching 800 HR.
I will be incredibly happy when it happens. As said above, a few years ago no one gave a damn about steroids and eveyrone knew that players used em. Also, it takes a lot more than steroids to actually hit the ball. Steroids does not increase your hand eye coordination. The ball may go a little further than it normally would be you still have to actually hit the ball. He deserves every single one of those homers seeing as how he is the best player of the current generation. A-rod may infact break record in a few years but at least let Barry get whats he deserves, and that is the HR record. We love ya here in SF Barry!
