I play base ball but i stink, any pointers?

Start simple with a baseball, a fence, and a batting tee.Yes just like a tee-baller.
Practice making contact and swinging through the ball at different levels and locations until you get comfortable with your stance and swing.
Also, you might want to try a lighter bat to gain more control over your swing. That was YOU swing the bat not the bat swinging you.

Practice with someone who is really patient and can throw straight! Just swing easy & try to make contact for a while - don't push it. Over time your coordination will get better and then you can work on making your swing more powerful.The biggest problem most players have involves both hitting and fielding grounders. Remember to keep your head down. Batters tend to jerk their heads up as they swing. This takes your eyes off the ball. You need to be looking at the ball with both eyes and follow it all the way to the bat. Your head should begin moving only after contact between bat and ball.
It is the same in fielding. Your eyes should follow the ball into the mitt. Then and only then do your eyes go toward the action on the rest of the diamond.
