Do you think the LA Dodgers have a chance at winning the world series this year?

Hank Aaron is wrong?

Yes i think the Dodgers have a great chance at winning the World Series.

How about them brewers?

They do look good this year, but not World Series-caliber. Arguably the best division in the NL, however, means that they must really do their best. No team (except maybe the Rockies) will be out of the race for first in the end. They might make the playoffs, but I doubt they'll get far. They could get past the division series, which i believe will be the wild card (which could be anybody- Cards, Braves, etc etc) or winners of the other divisions, which is at least the Mets in the East (the Central is also up for grabs).

I don't believe the Dodgers could beat the Mets. I dislike the Mets dearly, but they have an excellent team...

LA will need their pitching to step up a little more if they want to make it all the way.

Why do the Philadelphia Phillies have the worse Bull Pen in Base Ball?

If their pitching staff can stay relatively healthy, and if Jason Schmidt doesn't collapse completely, then they have a good shot. Schmidt has looked bad so far, but the Dodgers are fortunate to go 5-deep with good pitchers on their staff. Penny is nasty, Lowe is a great 2-guy, and no other team can match a combo like Wolf and Tomko at the back of their rotation. On most other teams, those guys would be the #2-3 starters, not back-end guys.

Their bullpen, with unheralded guys like Beimel and Broxton, is outstanding, and Saito should do a great job in the closer's role.

I really think they made a mistake in giving so much money to a lousy hitter in Juan Pierre (his OBP the last two years is below .330, terrible for a leadoff guy), but if Garciaparra and Kent produce, they'll be fine. Losing Kemp hurts, but they should be able to survive with Andre Ethier and Luis in the corner OF positions.

It's a crapshoot once the playoffs start, but the Dodgers should be able to take their division. Arizona is hot right now, but I think the Dodgers are much more likely to keep sustained momentum for the whole season.

Has Kyle Farnsworth earned the right to mouth off about Roger Clemens based on his performance?

They have a good chance of winning their division and making the playoffs. Winning the world series not sure.

What is the MLB record for the most stolen bases?

who cares?there has not been a real dodger team since the weasel o'malley moved da bums outta brooklyn, with the aid of his nasty cohort r.moses of interstate highway infamy!!

Can somebody explain to me how to do a criss cross tape job on a baseball bat?

I'm not going to write a thesis, but I think that the Dodgers will need to improve two things via trade to WIN the world series:

1) offensive power- Garciapara, Kent, Gonzo - 3,4,5 is not going to make starters tremble with fear in the playoffs and small ball can only get you so far. Even when the White Sox won the series playing small ball a few years ago Konerko hit 41 HRs and 117 RBIs. The Dodgers have no one even close.

2) Bullpen - I'm being a little picky here, but the question did ask about winning the World Series. Discounting Saito, who is clearly a stud. Broxton, Beimel, and Hendrickson alone will not be enough to win it all. They will need one more good arm.

Yankees..?

They have a chance but I don't think the Dodgers will win the world series.
