Question:Please state the time period and how it all started. Thanks.
Answers:
Actually the true cause of the Cubs/Sox rivalry occured on June 5th, 1939, when Baron Von Comiskey, then owner of the White Sox, crashed his goat-shaped zeppelin into Wrigley Field, killing hundreds. Thus, the Billy Goat Curse and the Cubs/Sox rivalry was born.
It's just an In-state rivalry, but Micheal Barret punching A.J. in the face last year helped the rivalry.
Will the mets sweep the yanks today ?
because there is no room 4 both of the teams in chicago!!!!!!!!!...When they first started to share a city. I.E. NY with the Mets and Yankees. These types of rivalries just get stronger and stronger as time goes on, with A.J. Pierzynski and other incidents.
There is no Cubs-Sox rivalry. They're in different leagues and only play each other maybe 3 times a year. It is artificially created by Jay Mariotti. That is all.
Why don't major league pitchers apologize for hitting the batters that they face?
The rivalry is becouse the sox have little brother syndrome, for cubs fans before we started playing them every year we could care less about the sox but the sox are jealous of what the cubs have.More Questions & Answers...
