1 Tigers... You forgot to put that in.LOL... yeah, the twins bullpen really scares me. Nathan's 88 mph fastball is making me shaka in my boots! We'll see who is better when the divisional race is over. The Tigers had the best bullpen last season, and not a whole lot has changed in this one. You are either a Twins fan or you did not watch baseball last season.
Still, you are missing Ledezma, Mesa and Grilli, but after making that point I MAY give you the Yankees because those are all very quality arms and Mariano Rivera is one closer that is actually better than Jones. But I watched the Twins and Nathan is weak. His fastball TOUCHES 97-98, but he is not consistent enough and you will see that as the season rolls along. Papelbon is all right, but those are not QUALITY DEPTH arms like you claim. You just refuse to admit the Tigers have a great bullpen, and I think that is just plain stupid. When the season is over we will know more, but the Tigers will prove to be WAY too strong. Plus it doesn't hurt they have the best Starting Rotation in baseball with Rogers in the lineup.
I guess we are just going to have to agree to disagree then. But I said it before and I will say it again, I think not including the Tigers AT LEAST in your top 4 for bullpens is nuts. Jones leads the AL in saves as of Wednesday evening, but as you mentioned... something is missing from last year (note his first blown save). But I still contend he is on par w/h all minus Rivera.
And to add... if the Tigers have anything to worry about it is in the heart of the hitting rotation. Sheffield has not been himself, and neither has Ordonez. I know I am getting all fired up in April, and these things level out... But if you haev never been a Tiger fan you have no idea how quickly it can turn to crap.
The Reds bullpen has been pretty good so far..they may have the lowest ERA so far..I realize its only been a week..but when you are a Reds fan.you take what you can get!!

Tigers do have one of the best.Verlander and Jones have 0.00 ERA and Zumaya has a good arm yeah but he has several wins already. they have long-time relievers, Grilli, just had one butchered outting but is good, Ledezma is good. the only one with a high ERA is Durbin but thats only because Rogers is on the DL.The Yankees are the best!THey have the best bullpen in baseball, no doubt.

Its hard to say...being a native son of Atlanta. I love the improvements that they've made in their bullpen. I don't think they're the best though. I think Boston has the best bullpen hands down. The Yanks have a solid bullpen, but all of their pitchers are old...The Mets are having bullpen problems like the Braves were last year. That's gonna really hurt them if they can't get that together.When was the last forfeited game in Major League Baseball and why?
