the yanks cant do anything. first of all they have absolutely no pitching either they are on the dl or just doing bad. i know with roger returning he will help but once it gets to the bullpen, that wont help either. their closer isnt what he used to be and his cutter just doesnt cut any more. they dont have a farm system because the depleted it when they got rid of the clippers as their AAA teams. they do have the offense but pitching is what makes teams great, look for them to be a big disappointmentWhere will the Minnesota Twins fans be able to tailgate at the new stadium?

I don't think Boston can keep wining at the same rate all season. Torre is going to play one game at a time and work at cutting down the Sox lead. The Yanks are playing for the division title but will take the wild card if they can't catch up. The "Rocket" is going to make a big difference. He wouldn't have signed with the Yanks if he didn't think they had a good enough team to come back and win it all.

The Yankees will be in an uphill battle from this moment forth. But I would be totally surprised if they don't at least make the playoffs this year especially with as much talent as they have. If anything I could see them catching the wild card but not getting bounced again in the divisional series. They have a problem with those best of five types of series.They will not catch Boston. Boston is simply too good - and a much better team. The bigger question is can they even make the wild card since they are five games out - and there are six teams ahead of them too! It look like no post-season baseball for the Yankees this year!
