Walter Johnson - Check the stats.I never saw him pitch and the game was different for sure back then but I'd say Cy Young. As far as today goes, Im not too sure, you could definitly make a case for Clemens for being able to produce consistently for this long.

You cannot compare pre1950 players to today. Christy Matthewson only had two pitches and Dizzy Dean bragged about his fast ball and his change-up. Thats all he had. In the early years of baseball Cy Young has to be the choice with over 500 wins and something like 700+ complete games.In the middle years, maybe guys like Kofax, Ryan, and Carlton.
