If barry bonds breaks the hr record...?
Question:what do u think the mlb would do, how will they react? how will u react? will he be respected? and who do u think is the best baseball player of all time: ruth, aaron, bonds, etc...
Answers:
Who is the only player to win the world series, the batting title and a gold glove in the same year?
Don't worry. He won't.Why is Manny Ramirez's helmet bunrt and why does he continue to use it?
they will give him more steroids so he can hit more home runsHow Do U Throw A RISER/FLOATER With A Wiffle Ball?
The MLB will probably invite him to the Hall of Fame. I wouldn't be surprised? He will be respected by some. And Ruth and Aaron Are the Best Players, hoped I Helped!Retired numbers besides 42 in mlb all teams??
he wont be respected, he will be known as a cheater.I want to know where to find the Nike Hat Like the University of Miami Baseball Team Wears?
He will break the record, and they won't make any big deal out of it... Barry Bonds is the best player ever with or with out steroids he would have been the best. He hit for average hit for power stole bases and feilded his postion very well. I don't think he did roids, but it would not matterWhat's the obsession with RBIs?
Barry Bonds and the SF Giants do not need any fanfare regarding the record being broken. Even if it's about 33 years past, no one has to jump up and down while throwing confetti. If it's broken away from SF, the true baseball fans will applaud and the fake "fans" will be jeering and cursing him. At home, it's up to us to celebrate in a proper way.I'll react with a sense of pride knowing that our local team has the HR record holder in our organization and metropolitan area. He should earn respect from his peers and fans due to the achievement.
Also, Barry should be inducted into the Hall of Fame just on merit alone. Controversy about the steroid issue is just that. No solid, positive proof to incriminate him.
There was alot of people using and they still couldn't do what he did. Even w/ all the walks he still hit all those bombs. People don't like him because he's a jerk. I can't stand him as a person but I respect the hell out of him as a baseball player.
Barry Bonds will break the record next season. I smell an injury in his future.
What pitcher has the best lifetime strikeout to walks ratio?
definetly ruth.i have used to buy season passes for the giants (where barry bonds plays) for 6 years, and he could do so much better, no offense to him.Did A-Rod deserve that curtain call yesterday @ Yankee's Stadium?
Below are Barry Bonds averages for the first 14 seasons of his career.HR RBI K BB G
31.79 92.78 79.43 102.14 142.85
Now lets look at the numbers from seasons 15-19 (after he turned 35)
HR RBI K BB G
51.6 108.8 63.2 174.4 143.2
No other player in MLB history has hit more than 49 home runs in a single season after the age of 35.
With just the numbers he was averaging the first 14 seasons, he is easily inside the top 10 in HR, BB, and RBI...but that wasnt good enough for Barry Bonds...he is a cheat, and these numbers prove it. Anyone who defends Bonds is either a Giants "homer", a Bonds apologist, or is on the Bonds payroll, like his former trainer, Greg "Ill spend the rest of my life in prison, but i am gettin' PAID!" Anderson.
Bonds is a choker under pressure, look at his post season stats.
To answer the question - MLB will give him a plaque, Bud Selig will shake his hand, then go home and throw up.
I think the numbers above speak for my reaction...Hank Aaron is still the home run king until A-Rod hits 756.
Bonds will always respect himself, and fans in the Bay Area will probably respect him, but no other self-respecting baseball fan will.
there are 4 acceptable answers to the question of greatest of all time. 1- Ty Cobb 2- Hank Aaron 3- Micky Mantle and 4- Ted Williams
Here are the reasons - Ty Cobb - Played almost a century ago in the dead ball era, and is still in the top 10 in more offensive categories than anyone else in history.
Hank Aaron - Suffered from playing in small market cities his whole career (Atlanta was still small then) If he played in New York or Boston, he is the undisputed "G.O.A.T." Forget the HR record, he also has over 3700 hits (3rd all-time) and was a great outfielder.
Mickey Mantle - Hit with awesome power from both sides of the plate. Great centerfielder who would have been better had he not been an alcoholi and had Joe DiMaggio not been suck a pr*ck. It was because of Joe that Mickey tore up his knee as a rookie. He played drunk half the time and still put up 536 hr in 17 seasons.
Ted Williams - lost 3 full seasons to military service (where he wasnt a typical athlete in the military weenie, he was a highly decorated fighter pilot in both WWII and Korea), and still had nearly 3000 hits, 521 HR, and a .344 lifetime BA
Joe DiMaggio, until his death, insisted on being introduced as the greatest living ballplayer when he made public appearances, meanwhile, Ted Williams numbers stack up favorable across the board to Joe, and they played the majority of their careers at the same time. Ted Williams was definitely the better player without question...and I know I am going to hear it from the Yankers fans, but its true, and non-biased baseball experts will all agree...Joe was a good player on a great team. Ted was a great player on a good team.
p.s. I know I left Ruth off this list, which may baffle some...he was a liability in the field as an everyday player, and he got a lot more pitches to hit than he would have otherwise because Lou Gehrig and Tony Lazerri protected him in the lineup.
Alright, stepping down from the soapbox now.
How many home runs does Barry Bonds need to break the record?
MLB Reaction- very mixed. I know lots of people hate Bonds and lots of people love him. There'll be lots of different reactions! My reaction- Honestly, I won't care too much. I've lost some respect for him over the years.
Well, I think the better word would be "aknowledged". I don't think he'll be aknowledged.
Best baseball player of all time: Babe Ruth, or Lou Gehrig
What are the dimensions of the strike zone in japan?
MLB will probably hold a small congragulatory ceremony if and when he breaks the record. Fans around the county will probably curse him because he is a cheat and wouldnt have reached that record with out some help. The fans with their heads up their butts in San Fran will applaud and worship their hero. The shame of it all is that Barry was a sure fire HOF'er before he decided to go after the HR records and may have been one of the top 5 players of all time. Now he will forever be looked down on as a cheater.Best player of all time would have to be Babe Ruth. Not only one of baseballs best hitters ever, but also one of the best pitchers ever.
Note to all you SF fans who thinks hes innocent. Get real, this guy has more drugs in his system then a pharmacy. How much money does Greg Anderson get to keep his mouth shut and keep going to jail? The one guy who could indict him is on Barry's payroll.
Giants fans, how about MR.CAIN! Two hits after seven innings, why did they take him out?
first let me say people need to get off his back. he has accomplished amazing things throughout his career. With that said he won't get the recongnition he deserves for it. but i'll give the man credit if that counts at allWhy does Barry Bonds make it a "Black" issue?
I would subtract 150 home runs from his record for the time he used steroids.I am 15 years old leftey that plays for my hs baseball team what is average speed for a 15 year old?
I think he sucks he only has that much homeruns because of the steroids it stinks that he can even be compared to such goo dplayers as hank aaron and the babe i know bonds will break the record but it is a sad thing to see he in no way deserves the record. If Johnny Damon lands on the DL...?
He's a cheater. PERIOD. He's lied and danced around the truth. He's hiding something. Look at the numbers. When he was using, he was knocking over 50 homers a year out of the park. Since the controversy started, he knows he's been found out, he's stopped using roids, he's not hitting as many homers, and he's been injured more.Personally I hope teams don't pitch to him. If he's up with the bases loaded, walk in a run. He doesn't deserve the record. That's Hank Aaron's record to keep. Bonds cheated to get where he's at.
Maybe everyone will get lucky and someone will throw some heat at his head, and knock him out for the rest of his career.
