Has the "Curse of the Bambino" been replaced by the "Curse of the A-Rod"?
Question:just a curious Red Sox fan
Answers:
Do you think the twins will make it to the finals?
I would say its more of a "Curse of Don Mattingly" The Yanks never won a series while he was a player. He retired and they won like 5. He comes back as a manager and havent won yet.Ask the Mariners, or the Rangers.
Can you delete a fantasy league after the draft?
No.That doesn't make sense because The yankees haven't won from 2001-2006.A-Rod has been with the yankees 04-06 only. They haven't won because unfortunately Stienbrenner keeps spending millions and he's not getting good solid players like Brosius,Fielder,O'Neil,Tino, Gram Lloyd,Mike Stanton,&Bernie.you get my point. its more of a curse of Mattingly then A-Rod.Mattingly didn't win when he was playing for them or choaching them. Also there's no Stolemyer,or Zimmer.
What is your favorite baseball team?
no your a dumb red sox and no you red sox fans are making a big deal b/c you guys are 8 games ahead of the yankees hurray! wow who cares the history is not going to change b/c 1 season okay curious red sox fanBoc Question for lefty pitcher?
No, there are no such things as curses. The Red Sox didn't win the World Series for 86 year because they were not good enough in that period. The Red Sox not only sold Ruth, their best player, but also traded many other good players in the early 20s, including Hall of Fame pitchers, Herb Pennock and Waite Hoyt. It took them years to recover. It wasn't just Ruth. The Yankees haven't won since 2000, because they haven't had the pitching, and haven't been able to execute the little things like they did in the '90s, meaning THEY haven't been good enough. The Yankees didn't win from 2001-2003 BEFORE they got A-Rod. I've heard that "Curse of the A-Rod" stuff before, mostly from Red Sox fans. It makes a good story, but there's never been a curse on either side.Videos of why cricket is better then baseball?
I don't get it... Where are the parallels between the Bambino and A-Rod?A-Rod never played for Boston. He doesn't hit in the post-season...and the Yankees were in a bit of a World Series drought long before they took him on board. But, wouldn't he have to leave New York in order for it to be considered a "curse" to the Yankees? (I could see maybe a curse to Texas or Seattle... but those teams haven't exactly been World Series caliber teams either) I don't know... I just really don't understand your question. (Gimme 2 pts. anyway!)
