There pitching isn't done, but always remember.they will go get someone if they need it.They will at the very least, win the wild card.
The Yankees will do fine like they do every year. One there pitching is not done. They still have Petit and will get back other starters and a week or two. You also forget nomatter who is pitching for them the yankees can always score runs and lots of them. Take last year they had no pitching but still made it to playoffs. If there pitching does not come back i have a 1 word solution for you.

We'll do fine man... we always do. Pitching isn't really done, just on the DL for the next month. We'll get Wang back soon enough, probably before The Mouse and Pavano... It doesn't matter whats happening now it all comes down to August - October when the Yankees are their "nastiest". Plus A Rod is actually playing like he's getting paid $250m dollars, which will help.If you are a Boston fan then go suck a nut, we'll still get the pennant.

Mussina's not going to be out long (15 day DL) and they cleared him to pitch from level ground already.Pavano's spot should be taken by Karstens who's supposed to return this week (making his rehab start tonight).
That leaves them with Chase Wright coming up from AA for Wang's spot.
So they have a slightly weaker pitcher every five outings, I'm sure their bats will be able to make up for it, or at least I hope so, as I have Giambi, Abreu, Jeter, AND Mussina on my fantasy team =)

Not sure...the above poster said if they need pitching "They will go out and get it". NO THEY WON'T. They needed pitching during the offseason and they didn't get it...who will the Yanks get? Who do the Yanks have to trade worth a quality pitcher? I know in YankeeLand (Fantasy world) they think they can go trade for Johan Santana and Roy Halladay anytime they want. Fact is Mussina even healthy isn't much of a threat. Petitte? No big deal...and say they get Clemens (he's a fool to want in on that mess if he does)-he's definitely beatable. Fact is the yankees could be in a serious hole by the end of April, a hole they may not be able to climb out of. All these "They are always fine" remarks don't apply this year...this is the worst Yankee pitching I have seen since 1993. It's dreadful. By the time the Yankees play Cleveland and Boston this week--they could be 6-7 games out of 1st, Because I don't see some A-AA picther dominating Cleveland in his first start in Yankee Stadium. I can assure you Sizemore,Hafner,Martinez won't be intimidated by him. Yanks could go 2-4 vs Cleveland and Boston at best---with no sign of the bleeding coming to an end after the Boston series. I will take 7 A.L. pitching staffs over a healthy Yankee staff anyday of the week this summmer--and I'll beat you everytime. As far as hitting their way to a title-ask the 90's Indians how well that works...you know steinbrenner. he's gonna make a nut job trade and the yankees will end the year with a johan santana or a roy halladay. as much as i hate to admit it, the yankees will succeed.
