Fantasy Baseball rotisserie waiver affect scoring?
Question:Let's say I am last in my rotisserie in HR's with only 2. I pick a player off of waivers with 8 HR's. Does this mean that my team now has 10 HR's? How exactly do add/drops with waivers affect my team?
Answers:
If Ichiro Suzuki leaves Seattle, where will he go?
You only accumulate stats for games where the player is active on your team, and those stats are permanent. This means that when you add a player to your team, you do not get his previous stats since those stats were not accumulated while he was on your team. Similarly, when you drop a player off your team, you get to keep the stats he accumulated while he was on your team, but obviously you do not get the stats he accumulates for future teams. The main importance of picking up someone off of waivers is that your waiver priority drops back to 12th, which means that in the future you will have a tougher time picking up a good player off of waivers, as other people in your league with higher priority might try to do the same thing.
To avoid losing your waiver priority, you can wait until a player clears waivers (usually takes 2-3 days, and assumes no other managers in your league put in a waiver request for him) and becomes a free agent.
How do you calculate and earned run average?
Unfortunately not. You will end up with any stats from the time you pick him up until the time you release/trade him.More Questions & Answers...
