How to get more $ for a scholorship for college?

Question:My sister in law is a very good softball player, this past weekend they played their regional playoffs for junior college and she brought in 18 rbi's and hit 6 homeruns in the 3 day- 5 game tourney. she hit 2 back to back homeruns in 2 different games on of which was a grand slam. and she has always played deffense extremely well also with no errors since her 1st year of high school softball (8th grade). she has really wanted to got to Tennessee but feels that she may not be good enough since they are among the top ranked university softball team. a local university has only offered $5,000 for a scholorship, which i think is not really fair considering she has broken her jr college record for most hit homeruns in a single season being 15 or 16 homeruns. how would she go about getting more money and maybe doing a walk on at Tennessee, and how would we be able to get her enough $ for her tuition at any other university including TN?

Answers:

Why arent there any left handed catcher?

It isn't often that a Jr. college player gets "picked up" by a 4-year school unless she's a pitcher. Make a skills video and send it to all the colleges she's interested in; be sure to include her stats for the last 2 years. She may not get offered any money, or she may get a partial. Apply for financial aid through FAFSA; that will help, plus the counseling center at her current school should have a list of scholarships available from private sources. Good luck!!

Were there any brothers that played on the same MLB team?

She has to get scouted by some from one of the top softball schools like Tennessee, USC, or Cal.

Why were they more Red Sox fans at the rogers centre than Blue Jay fans?

That may be it. Scholarships for the lesser-known sports, or rather, for the sports that bring in less revenue, simply aren't that large or plentiful.

You sister needs to talk with someone at her school for more information.

What are some of the best metal baseball bats ever made?

Take the best offer that she gets and move on. You can't force a school to give more.
