Do you think that Tim Duncan is better then Kobe Bryant?
While watching the Suns-Spurs series, I cannot help but be amazed by the phenomenal Tim Duncan. He is a fundamental player who has achieved more then anyone since Michael Jordan. He has one championships with a average supporting cast at best. You can tell me that Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker are great, but that team goes nowhere without Duncan. Yes, he happens to be a boring player, but he does nothing, but win championships and mvps, scores on any power forward, and is a good defender. In my opinion, he is the most complete player in the NBA, not Kobe Bryant. Duncan dominates games with his presence and passing. I'm not saying he is the most marketable or exciting player, but he is just the best.

They are hard to compare because Kobe cant do the things Duncan does and Tim cant do the things Kobe does, and they both have won championships before.But I'll say Duncan.

I tend to agree with you, not only has he accomplished more than Kobe but Duncan is a better player overall. Duncan can take the shot if he has to but will pass the ball as well. He can play defense has good offensive skills, rebounds, blocks all very well. I think Kobe is a ball hog and will get nothing where he is at. Any good player can score 50 plus points in a game if they never passhe is better then kobe yes ,but he is not the best .Only the best at whining and crying when he picks up fouls

C'mon man, lets be honest with ourselves here. They are two different players with two different styles.but I hate to say this because I cant stand Kobe... Kobe would destroy Duncan. In one on one or in a regulation game. Kobe is a winner and an excellent three ball shooter, with a better coach and he also has less talent around him then Duncan does. Yeah, overall he is a better player. He does the simple things in basketball most people try to make complicated. He may never score 50 points in a game, but he doesn't need to. Thats why he has 4 other teammates on the court, and he knows how to use them. I'm not a Spurs fan, but i've liked to watch Tim Duncan since he was at Wake Forest. He's not flashy, but gets the job done. And he's proven it. I'd much rather him win an NBA Championship, than Season MVP. Tim and Kobe are very different kinds of players, but that difference has helped the Spurs win championships. DMAN.what an awesome answer! They do have different games. as far as a person and personality and sportsmanship, Duncan is way better. it really isn't a good comparison because of the fact that they are a two totally different positions... Duncan has the post moves but Kobe has the range. Tim has the power while Bryant has the speed. Duncan could not guard Kobe from the top of the key because Kobe's speed would allow him to drive right by him or pull up for a jumper, and Kobe couldn't guard Duncan down in the low post... as for Tony Parker and Manu Ginobli and the rest of the Spurs not going anywhere without Duncan... not too sure about that statement... If you take Duncan out of the equation completely without replacing him with a good power forward then maybe, but Duncan has played with quality players before and now.How do i become the best Basketball player?
