Who else think the suspensions were fair??
Question:this my 2cents. u get paid millions of dollar to play basketball and they should follow the rules. the league didnt make amare or daiw left the bench that was thier choice. look at the knick and heat when the knick lost 4 player to the rule or 2004 playoff when artest got hit by the same rule. if u think that amare and daiw shouldnt be suspended that would be setting a double strandard to the player and fans. this would tell players that in playoff u dont get fine or punish for breaking the rules
i want the suns to win but rule r rules. and they should be men enough to know it was thier fault, and if the suns loose the series it daiw and amare fault not the league or the spurs.
if u disagree plus state y and not i dont agree

Will CCSU guard Javier Mojica get drafted in the 2007 NBA Draft?
I think this suspension were not fair. Nash didn't get suspended for grabbing Horry's shoulder? Thank you, Stu! Raja didn't get suspending for touching nose with Horry? Thank you, Stu! And why is Horry suspended for not 1 but 2 when Baron Davis didn't even get one? Thank you, Stu! Talk about being biased for the 2 time MVP!Who season was better at age 28, Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant?
I agree that Amare and Diaw decided under their own free will to stand up, but that's not the real issue here. The problem is that the rule itself punishes the team who's players get attacked. No one is saying that Stoudemire was shoved from his seat onto the court. So really, it is the NBA's fault for having a rule that doesn't make sense, and that means the league is indirectly at fault for changing the momentum of this series.Do you think its Jerry Colangelo, sun's Gm's fault that all this controversy is going on?
The Answer:15,000 Spurs fans
The Reality:
Zero
Since the Spurs fans are not human and a lower lifeform their opinions don't really count!
Didn't I see a few Spurs fans on a Geico commercial
Will Denver buy out Kenyon Martin?
DMAN, grabbing a shoulder isnt the same as horry shoving his elbow in rara's face.bell did get a tech, and i think that was fair.
what's unfair is the rule in the first place. look for the league to revise this.
ooh, check out mike d'antoni, he said something like, if not exactly like, this:
"We have the most powerful microscopes in the world here in Arizona, and if you look through them you will not find one shred of fairness in that decision."
HAHA.
The rule is not fair because it was designed to stop violence from happening on the court. There are only 10 guys on the court, and about 5 or 6 players on each bench plus about 10 coaches and trainers etc. Why don't thay also make a dumb rule that if an altercation happens, all the players on the court should return to their benches, and anybody who doesn't will miss the next game? Why, because it doesn't make any sense just like the "don't leave your bench" rule. The rule I just made up, and the "bench" rule would be for the same purpose: to stop or limit on court violence. Horry should be gone for the rest of the series, by the way.
Do you think Lebron James will end up just like Vince Carter in his NBA career?
Wow good point with the spurs fans you are truely a enlightened individual.... That was sarcasam
What do you think about girls that are better and basketball than guys are?
JAMES S....why do you have to try and make this more than an NBA rivalry? Look i know you're angry cuz your precious little suns have yet to win a championship...but blame that on THEM not the opposing teams fans...that's pretty low. I respect the Suns a LOT, i think they are a great franchise...but their fans i'm finding out ar making their team and their city look REALLY bad...you guys are rediculous.Which player the most All-NBA First Team honors?
the suspensions were done just as they were in the Knicks Heat brawl, the knicks losing 5 players...two key (starks, Ewing)... Amare and Diaw made a conscious choice to walk on to the floor and therefore broke the rules...if the rule should get revisited in the off season, fine...but as it stands the commish just showed consistency. Is'nt Magic Johnson Better the Michael Jordan?
That comment about Spurs fans, um. Stupid! We have the championships and Phoenix does not. Everyone hates San Antonio for being who we are and that's ok. We're about to get another one. Phoenix fans are like drunk drivers who get pulled over and don't want to go to jail, don't wanna face the consequences. The price is right BOB! We're like Geico, we have the insurance to cover you while we rake in all the dough and take it all!How come Golden State fans cry every time they lose?
It would have been fair if Duncan and Bowen were also suspended for coming onto the court in the 2nd quarter after Elson got undercut by Jones. It was a definite double standard.BTW, while you do look at past rulings for guidance, you should never let that be your only guidance. That's why judges will frequently allow defendants to walk or give lighter sentences due to extenuating circumstances. In this case Amare and Diaw simply went to check out Nash. Look at the replay. They were off the bench when Horry made the hit and were already retreating by the time Bell got to Horry. And if you define the altercation as having started on the Horry hit then you must define an altercation starting on the Elson undercut as well. Meaning Duncan and Bowen should have been suspended too.
Questions about Michael Jordan?
I don't understand why Tim Duncan didn't get suspended. The rule states that no player on the bench may leave the bench area during an altercation. Amare and Boris Diaw moved maybe 15 feet off the bench and were stopped. Duncan moved much further and was actually trying to hold people back and was more "in" the dispute than Amare or Boris. Yes, the Suns players did move more "aggressively" from the bench, but who's to say that wasn't to see if Steve Nash was all right? Ever since Tim Duncan was thrown out of the Mavericks game by Joey Crawford, it seems like all the calls have gone his way. He isn't getting called for nearly the fouls he deals and especially this incident. I think Amare is really the only player on the Suns that is big and strong enough to guard Duncan. If they're going to enforce the rules without interpretation, the commissioner and the executive vice president need to do so with all the players equally.Do you think Wade should switch from Converse to another brand?
I disagree simply because you're basically punishing the victim more than the attacker in this case. The Suns were attacked with a cheap shot by Horry. Another cheap shot in the growing list of them so far by the Spurs this round of the play-offs. I didn't watch the part where Duncan left the bench in the second so I won't comment. Look for some definite change after this season. I have read the suggestion from numerous sports writers that if you get into the altercation, and not merely leave the bench, should you get suspended.By the way if people are going to be suspended for leaving the bench why hasn't Bowen been suspended for clear cheap shots on Amare and Steve? You'd think a player who is out there to hurt people would get penalized more.
BTW I agree with the writers when they said the Spurs will now be looked at as a dirty team. They lost that squeaky clean image, and if they advance the ratings for the Western Finals will diminish. I know I won't watch that cheap shot, and get away with it, team.
they were fair, but Raja Bell shoulda been suspended too. he was clearly the first to react to Horry's hard foul and he darn near put his hands on Horry. i fully believe he shoulda been gone for a game. as far as Amare and Diaw, it's simple... they broke the rule, the pay the price. there's no human element at all. to be honest, i'm sick and tired of people fussing about the rules. they only want the rules when it helps them out. if Phoenix's assistant coaches were on the job (as many as there are), they would have automatically known to keep the bench in check. sounds like a little inexperience to me. didn't anyone re-learn that lesson with the Knicks and Nuggets?
I think the NBA would like nothing more than to see the Suns win it all this year...but if they let those guys get away with breaking this rule, all hell would have broke loose.
it was a fair call.
