Should dirk be mvp?
saw it on nba channel today DIRK named mvp. it just doesn,t sit well with me. i still think STEVE NASH should be mvp .but the decision is in whether i like it or not.do u agree with me?

I think Dirk should be MVP, as he garnered the most points from ballots cast by those who are eligible to vote on the award.Frankly, I had Nash as my MVP before the playoffs started. The pundits dropped the ball ugh-ain on this one.
Also consider that those who decide appear to get bored with the same winner every year. MJ got jobbed twice--Malone and Blarkey.

i agree with you. but the thing is, nash already said just give the mvp to dirk. all nash wants is the championship, which is what they are gonna get.

i totally agree, Nash got hosed. Dirk is just the "best player on the best team" and that's why he got it. He's not the "Most Valuable Player"... if you noticed, when Dirk was out for some games, his teammates still won maybe not as easily, but still pretty simply...and when Nash was out, the Suns got mainly dominated, and to average teams like the 76ers... The MVP award is based on regular season play, so hats off to Dirk for winning this season. However, I do think Nash deserved a 3-peat, the NBA just doesn't want to have the same guy win the award 3 years in a row. Dirk played well but choked and was outplayed by Nash in every meeting in the regular season. He couldn't hit the game winner or disappeared at the end of the games, much like he did in the playoffs. Steve Nash is one of the most humble guys in the NBA right now and him and Dirk are great friends, Dirk did a great job of leading the Mavs to the best record ... but if the award was given for all around play in regular season AND the playoffs, the MVP would be Mr. Nash.How many of you have converted from Suns fans to Jazz fans?

I think both are exceptional players and mean a lot to their respective teams. I personally think Steve Nash means more to the Suns than Dirk to the Mavs. But overall looking back at this season, most would say Dirk was slightly the better player.More Questions & Answers...
