What should the Cavs do this offseason to improve their team?
I know they are still in the playoffs but I think they will lose in 7. Im a big Cavs fan and I am supporting them 100% but I feel we need another All-Star calliber player to help King James. If we needed to get someone else this offseason who might it be?

I think the Cavs are in a precarious position... They have the best talent in Lebron James, surrounded by expensive parts that reduce their cap flexibility.I think Hughes is a hard-working player but clearly, he's not the Pippen of Lebron James at this point. He's best in a faster paced offense that relies on steals to start fast breaks. He was successful in Washington b/c he was given more freedom. He's not a player who's going to hit a lot of open jump shots, which is what the Cavs want him to do.
Z, Gooden, and Pavlovic are good matches for the offensive system but that's a detriment to Hughes' game.
So the Cavs biggest problem is their second best player (Hughes) does not fit into the offensive system. But who's going to trade for Hughes' big salary?
So basically the Cavs have dug themselves a hole... They can trade Z's expensive contract and implement a totally new offensive system, which is highly unlikely. Or they basically have to hope Hughes becomes a better outside shooter or find a team who's desperate to unload an equally expensive player.

We won't get another All-Star in FA. We could however sign Mo Williams or Steve Blake and re-sign Varejao and Pavlovic.More Questions & Answers...
