Let me just explain it to you like this. The bulls were in the East right? He beat all the teams in the East. They played against the West in the finals and won. Also remember their record was once 72-10 and 69-13 and a lot of those games were against the West too.
The east was a stronger conference back then, so the team would have had an easier schedule during the playoffs and regular season. I'm thinking they could have won more titles.

Well Yes the western conference was worst than the east back then the only team that was giving it to the Bulls was the Jazz.
