Blogbaba's going out on a limb, the Pistons will be the NBA champs. If not Detroit, who?
Bill Russell.Being the best means being able to dominate your competition, and no one ever dominated like Russell did. Plus, the quality of competition he dominated can't be equaled. He dominated a league that featured Wilt Chamberlain, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor and Jerry West, among others.

Who went to game 1 bulls vs heat?
Magic was the best overall player everWhere did Mike Dunleavey the player for Golden State Warriors go?
David Robinsonlet's base it on facts:
bill russel won 11 championship rings (he should have an extra finger in order to accomodate the last). but he was surrounded by hall of famers and nba greats such as bob cousy, bill sharman, sa, jones and john havlicek.
wilt chamberlain, who scored 100 points in one game, won championships for the philadelphis 76ers and the los angeles lakers. but he had help from nba greats hal greer and bill cunngham in the sixers and jerry west and elgin baylor in los angeles.
oscar robertson, as far as i knew, only won one championship, with kareem abdul-jabbar, a six-time most valuable player and rookie of the year awardee. he's famous for his all-around play, and he averaged one in tropli doubles.
magic johnson is also a very popular player and is very much like oscar robertson. he won championships with fellow greats kareem abdul jabber and james worthy.
larry bird, known for his clutch plays and team leadership, was a great rival of magic johnson and his lakers. he playe alongside two other greats, robert parish and kevin mchale.
lastly, michael jordan. he won 6 championships. his constant partner during these times was scottie pippen, another nba great, and after he came back, he led the bulls to a record 72-10 win-loss record.
so who's the greatest? the others needed help from three or more greats. but jordan? he only needed help from one nba great, scottie pippen. you might say oscar robertson should be in his league. he is, alright, except that he only won 1 championship.
Dude what is up with Kyle Korver?
micheal jordan the 2nd is Larry birdWhat are the 5 worst teams in NBA history?
i believe mj is the best ever but if i chose another one it would be wilt chamberlain becuase no one can score 100 points in a game. not even michael jordanShould the Lakers trade for J.O'Neal, Garnett, or Pau Gasol?
Jordan was the best ever, with the exception of Wilt, Russell, Kareem (you forgot to mention him), Magic, Bird and Oscar... and possibly Shaq.btw, when Wilt won his title with the Lakers, Elgin Baylor was no longer there. Baylor retired just prior (the game before, in fact) to the start of the Lakers 33 game winning streak in the 71-72 season.
Jordan never even played on a winning team without Scottie Pippen, so there's no way he was the best ever.
Also, when most of the all time greats retired, their teams fell apart, and would usually decline in the win column by double digits. The Bulls only declined by two games after Jordan's retirement in 1993. And they sent 3 players to the 1994 all star game, despite the fact that Jordan wasn't around to "make them better".
Bill Russell was probably the best player on the best teams of all time. Wilt was one of the most dominant ever. And Oscar averaged a triple double.
