i was watching a youtube video.. and apparently yao played for the kings.. does anyone know when exactly he was drafted into the NBA and which teams he played for (before Houston Rockets)?

He only played for the rockets the whole time. Maybe you saw a footage of the Houston-Sacramento game in China in 2005. They opened the season there and I think for goodwill Yao was asked to wear a uniform of Sacramento, The goodwilled Yao offered no hesitation and gladly obliged.

I really never knew he played for the Kings. i thought he was in Houston the whole time. You sure that was not a video that was messed with I never thought he played for anyone but Houston. But I could be wrong.
