Why do most Steve Nash fans dodge the questions about his defensive skills?
Everytime there is a question on here about Nash only being a one-sided player the Nash fans won't stand up and admit it. In my opinion I would take Jason Kidd over Nash anyday. Points, Assists, Rebounds, Steals and plays MUUUUCCCHHH better D than Nash. Nash=points and assists (to a team filled with offensive scorers). That's it. Stand up Nash fans, men and women, and admit he has more weaknesses in his game than strengths.
Answers:
Steve Nash certainly TRIES to play good D... too bad it ends up with a bloody nose.
How much is this 96-97(iverson,kobe,nash,rookies) basketball card set worth?
his strengths are obviously better than his weaknesses. Thats why he is 2 time consecutive mvp.Realistically, who is the better player and worth more to his team, Kobe or Lebron?
yesss finally. Kidd is much better. He's an all round player whereas nash is only good offensively. Give me Kidd any day of the week. Will the Houston Rockets win the Nba Finals?
because theyre so stupid they think being able to pass the ball to people who can score is mvp quality? bullshit! roflkobe for mvp!
What the name of that african american guy who went straight to the nba after high school?
While Nash is not a great one-on-one defender, he does know how to funnel his man toward defensive help. Also, have you ever noticed that when the Suns need the ball it always seems to be Nash with a deflection or a steal or a drawn charge or forcing his man into an error? Until he got the 6 stitches gash on his nose that's exactly what was happening in Game 1. Isn't timely defense a good thing? Why does everyone underestimate the suns?
when his (Santa Clara broncos) college coach recruited him coach told him that he didn't think that he could play defense at that (small college) level...but loved his offensive game...here we are years later, and his offense still overshadows his lack of defense, it appears the only time it becomes an issue...is now...deep in the playoffs, I will give Nash this...he runs that team extreemly well...they lack spacing and movement into open spaces when Nash is in street clothes...C'mon!! Since when was it a big deal if your point guard played great defense. He's your point guard, not your f**ckin center!! He's the two time MVP. I think the Nash supporters outweigh the Kidd supporters, and not just on sports1234.com !! The people who voted for the MVP chose Nash. Kidd's name wasn't even mentioned as a candidate. It's been between Nash, Bryant, and Nowitzki for the last few years. If Kidd was really as good as your suggesting he is, wouldn't he have at least been mentioned in MVP talks??
In using the jumpsoles can i replace some of the workouts for another plyometric exercise?
The role of the point guard is to bring the ball down and run the offense by distributing the ball amongst their team mates and helping the team put points on the board. I agree that J. Kidd is somewhat better defensively however the only reason he gets so many rebounds is because the Nets or should I say the "Nots" do not have a center with good enough hands to grab rebounds and the forwards do not box out and grab the rebounds so since someone has to do it J. Kidd is there. I don't think people are being one sided about Nash-it's just that when "MVP" is decided it usually goes to the person that has made their TEAM better and not to the person with individual Stats. Granted J. Kidd did get robbed the year the Nets won the East because he had an incredible season that year.More Questions & Answers...
