Is it just me or does the NBA regular season suck?

Question:I'm mainly comparing it to college hoops, which is probably the most exciting sport in the world to watch.

NBA players take plays off, and once they develop "their game" they do not step out of that role at all until the playoffs. I used to love the NBA and I am a big hoops fan, but I just can't get into it at all any more until the playoffs. Agree or no?

I think the NBA regular season is okay. It can't really be compared to the college season though because it is so much longer. They play 82 games plus the playoffs if they're good enough and besides NCAA basketball could not fill the void if there was no NBA. To me college basketball is good when March Madness comes. Until then you get a lot of lop-sided victories by the top schools when they meet those teams that aren't ranked.

I do agree that NBA players take plays off and it is not as exciting as college hoops. But the talent and skills gap between nba and college is so high that nba basketball is still a better game to watch

There are some great games during the NBA regular season so no it doesn't suck but it is probably too long. Like you said players do take games/plays off but that is because of the length of the season. They need to conserve their energy. What's the most games a college B-Ball team plays a season 30 something if they make it to the championship game while in the NBA they play a minimum of 82 regular season games and could reach over 100 if they make it to the Finals and every series goes 7 games.

It's just you. There have been some very thrilling NBA games the past few weeks, some ridiculous circus shots, and some unexpected comebacks. To name a few, Mavericks v Suns, Rockets v Lakers, Rasheed Wallace's halfcourt buzzer beater to send the game to OT, Bonzi Wells' 3/4 court buzzer beater...

I can't wait for the playoffs either!
