I am pulling for the Phoenix Suns!Reasons? For their play-off experience; Steve Nash, & to finally attain an NBA Championship after losing the TRIPLE-OVERTIME game 5 against the Boston Celtics & John Havlicek in the 1976 NBA Finals and 16 seasons later being defeated by Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen & the Chicago Bulls, in the 1992 Finals.
Paul Westphal was a 1976 Phoenix Sun & 1992 was Phoenix Suns' head-coach.

well, mac dog, i think the spurs are headed for a 4th title for duncan! however, i hope!! the suns finally win a title!! the east? forget it! even detroit! no way the pistons win title!San Antonio is favored by Vegas. Pheonix has an outside shot.
Detroit has a strong chance, they could bump and grind with the spurs and maybe just squeek by.
My bet: Pheonix. Why? Because the officials hate Tim Duncan.

The Detroit Pistons. They are dominating the East, not expending too much energy. Meanwhile the West powerhouses are battling it out just trying to get to the Finals. The Suns-Spurs series is too close to call, in my opinion... but whoever wins that series will most likely face Detroit in the Finals. If it's the Suns and the Pistons, the Pistons will win. If it's the Spurs and the Pistons, I think the Spurs will *barely* win. In any case, it'll be at least a six-game Finals. There is no dominant team this year (unless you count the fallen Mavs).IF Golden State plays the way they did with Baron Davis and everybody else in GAME 3 vs. Utah they might have a chance do win it all with that HOME CROWD!!!
Would the NBA playoffs be better if the first round was only a five game-series?
I believe the Warriors will win. They have the most complete team equipped with fast athletic guys who can stretch the defense and also beat you off the dribble. They will win every game at home in front of their wild fans. Baron Davis is superhuman. He will lead the team with his explosive drives and his great passes. Their solid role players, including Andris Biedrins, who can block and rebound, Matt Barnes, an excellent defender who can shoot 3's, Jason Richardson, a pure scorer and great finisher, Stephen Jackson, a great passer and scorer, and Al Harrington, a good mid-range shooter are all capable of big nights. They will outhustle and outplay every team because they are fast, quick, young, and extremely athletic.Will Ronnie Brewer have a bigger role for the Jazz next season?
