about 2'6" . to get a higher vertical work on your upper body push up and setupi have to know hoe high your reach is first off and second off you will need somewhere like a 35 inch vertical!

Depends on your wingspan. I'm 5'10", and I can easily touch an 8-foot ceiling flat-footed. If your arms are similar in length (they're probably shorter, though), you could touch a 7'8" ceiling. This means that you'd need at least a 2'4" jump to touch the rim.But there's more to it than that: you have to get the ball over the rim. The ball is a little less than 10 inches wide, which would suggest a 3'2" jump. But in reality, some dunks don't require you to cradle the ball all the way to the top -- you can sort of "ease it in." So you might be able to get by with a 3-foot (36-inch) vertical. Another factor: even if you can't manage a 3-foot standing jump, you might be able to do a running jump of that height after some intensive conditioning.
Don't get discouraged, but it's pretty hard for normal-height guys to dunk... and much harder to do so in a game with defensive pressure.

120 inches-76 inches. You have to jump at least 44 inches, which is very hard unless you have legs of steel.if you are 5'6" youll need to jump about 3 and a half feet off the ground i dont know where the other guy got 2 1/2, but with my math youll need to jump 40-41 inches to dunk.
