What do you think of the Starburys?
Would you buy them over some other shoes like Adidas, Nike, or Jordan?

i hated marbury until he did this. not only is he making a quality product that single parents can afford but he is still making a product kids will want to wear and look cool.
and i lost respect for lebron who was clowning on his shoes.
i know some of these people on here will say they wouldnt wear these shoes but remember "mommy and daddy" still pay for their clothing so they dont know the meaning of budget.

Nope ! they are trashYes. Many people see the price, and think it is a bad shoe. But it is actually a great shoe. You have to respect what Stephon Marbury is doing. Great Shoe, Great Price, Great Deal.

my hubby just bought a pair and they are cheap and cute...sounds good to me...he wears shoes out super quick(even pricey ones) so the less costly ones are a good alternative...If the warriors beat the mavericks will it be bigger upset then the 99 knicks and the 94 nuggets?
I used to dislike Stephon Marbury as a player due to his reputation for ego / lack of teamwork and for ripping off the Knicks. But I've got to say that I really respect what he has done in marketing those less expensive shoes - I really sympathzied for him when LeBron James made fun of him for this (Hey LeBron - if being the world's richest man is really your biggest goal - then why not quit basketball and join your old buddy Warren?). Most of the expense in the more well known brands are in marketing and hype and due to supply/demand, not because of the shoe itself. I'm not saying that the quality isn't higher - I wear Nikes now and used to have no-name brand shoes - but it's not proportional to the cost. I would consider the Starburys if I needed shoes and could find them at a store.Will the Rockets fire Jeff Van Gundy?
Actually they are good, I have been bothering my wife the last couple of days telling her how comfortable they are... I bought 5 pairs of sneakers for my son and myself... You can't go wrong... If you are so much into the name then hey do your thing, but if I can get 5 sneakers for less than half of what some pay for these costly sneakers... no brainer! I think this could be the kick that starts a movement in all aspects of products.There's lots of overpriced things out there and less and less jobs, and people working longer because the prices on stuff is outrageous.
So if Marbury can step up to the plate with some affordable shoes, then others should follow his example and do for the betterment of life for everyone.

It does not look nice and there is no high technology backing it up. To sum it up, it is a basic hoops shoe. Personally, I won't buy them because they don't have nice designs. But I have to agree that the price is very affordable for everyone. Kudos to Marbury and Ben Wallace for marketing the pair. Not all expensive brands are accessible for everyone. The Starburys offer an alternative.Personally, I haven't tried them on, but I always go for the cheaper shoes. Plus, I've heard great things about these shoes. The quality is supposed to be just as good as the brand-name shoes, and they look just as nice. I don't know much about Stephon Marbury, but this is a really nice thing he did.
