How do you use the dribble to split a double team?
Can anyone give me tips on how to split a double team on the way to the basket? Be it going from baseline to rim or free throw line extended to the rim. Thanks!

If they are doubling you when you recieve the ball, the most important thing is to attack right away. It sounds simple-- but the biggest mistake players make is waiting for the double to happen and then try to dribble out of it.A fake overhead pass can get the player out of his defensive stance. And always square up to the basket.

Take it right at em and pick up the easy blocking foul. Works most of the time I do it. Justs use your athleticism to your advantage.If you are a good team basketball player, you DON'T split a double team with the dribble. The defense has the advantage and you are more than likely going to commit a turnover. A good basketball player realizes that he/she is double teamed and passes to the open teammate.
Ya, you got to bounce it in the gap between them and squeeze through and finish your drive, practice it in real games, and you'll pick it up.
