LAKER FANS..who would you rather have next year...Jermaine O'Neal or Kevin Garnett?
Question:I don't care if they have to give up bynum AND ODOM...they have to win NOW! Kobe is in his prime and we might as well make full use while we can. He's only got 2 more years on his contract
Jermaine O'Neal is a rebounding beast and a legit post up post up player. An above average defender and shot blocker and can knock down midrange shots and finish regularly.oh and another thing...he's CLUTCH...before the last 2 years, he has led them to at least the eastern semifinals. He's only 28.
KG is KG...a future hall of famer. Prolly one of the top 10 power forwards of all time. A legit playmaker. He is not a good shot blocker but he is just as good as a defender as Jermaine. He is kinda known to choke in the clutch tho. But his energy is infectious..Prolly the most energetic guy in the league. He gets on his teammates face if they don't show up to play. I'm just a little concerned cuz he's 31 years old and Iono how much his body can take, since he's been in nba for 11 years

Garnett, definitely. Jermaine just doesn't seem that smart. In a weak east he couldn't get his team to the playoffs this year. Garnett has the same passion and heart Kobe does and shoes it on the floor, plus has a nice jumper. His problem in his career is that he has never been that go to guy in big games or end of games to take over and lead his team to victory. Only exception was a game 7 in the semi's a few years ago, but remember he had Cassel and Spreewell helping him out in the clutch. Now , with Kobe he wouldn't need to take over games at the end. Almost perfect combination. However, it will never happen, Minnesota and ex celtic Mchale at GM will never trade Garnett to the Lakers unless he demands it.Is matt barnes of golden state warriors black?

Hoe's it even a Question?Garnett scores more and shoots a much higher percentage while grabbing atleast 2 more rebounds a game and is a much better defender.
Garnett wins all the individual skill matchups and is able to be a playmaker that is needed in the triangle offense and is healthy year in and year out while JO is always hurt.

I have mixed feelings about this, but im gonna have to go with Garnett. Other free agents to look out for are Chauncey Billups and Mike Bibby. This sounds far fetched, but I would try to sign Garnett, and Mike Bibby cuz we all know Chauncey isn't leaving. Trade Garnett, and Smush Parker to Orlando for Dwight Howard. Here's your new starting lineup:

Wow... the "Laker Faithful" keep BEGGING for another All Star when they used to have one, you may have heard of him. His name is Shaquille O'Neal. 6 out of every 10 shots he has ever taken in NBA games went in. Hmm, what a "novel concept".Shaq wouldn't be half as beaten up as he is now if the Lakers had ran the offense THROUGH him instead of him. I can only wonder how many of his points he had to score from offensive rebounding.
Honestly, I wish you could have Jermain O'Neal, Kevin Garnett AND Kobe. Kobe is just selfish enough to screw that up too.

It doesn't matter cause we will win with either of themKevin Garnett. How can you say Jermaine O'Neal is the rebounding beast when K.G. has lead the NBA in rebounding the last three years? Plus K.G. and Kobe would have better chemistry. Jermaine O'Neal demands the ball in the post nearly every possession, while K.G. would rather rebound and get put-backs. I don't think O'Neal could stand being the second best on the team, while K.G. would enjoy it, because he just wants a championship.
