maybe alot of ppl will disagree but i feel that most ppl are sleeping on detroit pistons... i feel they will win because the fact ppl are not paying attention to them thus that will fire them up and they are playing in the weak east coast divison... they wont have much challenge there...and in the west division there are to many power houses and some series there will go 7 games.. so whoever will reach the finals from the west teams will not have much energy to play the pistons in the finals. so i say pistons

Big Laker fan (well more of a Kobe fan), but Mavericks are getting this year. Last year is nothing but a bitter reminder of what should have been. And they can play and style of game to beat you. My back up pick is the Spurs. They also can change their game tempo up to win. Most people say Suns (band-wagoners) but the are to offense minded to win a title. And if their have a bad shooting night they will lose because they can't stop any good team from scoring.i woould say the mavs or suns

My opinion is that Detroit will go all the way. It's not because I'm from Detroit (although it does play a factor in it) but, it's just a few things that will lead up to Detroit taking it all the way.
1. Yes, the Mavericks are having an amazing season and they are hungry for a championship since losing last year. But, you should note that the Pistons also had an amazing year last year. They got tired in the playoffs. You should also note that most of the Mav's loss came at the end of the season. Could it be fatigue or injuries or could it just be a fluke?
2. The Pistons have a much deeper bench than Dallas does. Not to take anything away from Dallas; they have an incredible bench, especially Jerry Stackhouse. But, "Flip" Murray and Carlos Delphio have proven that they can step up their game and even can be depended on in the clutch.
3. Ben Wallace leaving did leave a huge hole for the Pistons. But statistically, they aren't that much different last year then they are this year defensively. Not only have they not change that much defensively but, they have also increase in offense. From free-throw percentage to 3-pt. percentage, they are getting better all around.
4. I hate to say it but, Billips is keeping his options open this off-season as he will be a free agent. Even though he might not leave Detroit (fingers crossed), he does want to make sure that Joe Dumars pays him nicely.
