Dirk Nowitzki MVP?
I read an article saying that dirk has one the MVP and will be recieving it next tuesday. How does anyone feel about this?

pretty angry, the dallas mavericks were the most over rated team in the stinkin league. i dunno it just seemed to me the most important person in the NBA this year was steve nash, while dirk helped his team he didnt really control it the way nash does. Nash can actually control GAMES too, which ive never really seen dirk do. Dirk is confused about his height. He doesnt really know he is huge so he doesnt even think to post up and when he does, he is bad at it? what kind of crap is that. I declare shenanigans!The winner hasn't been announced. I predict Nash will 3 peat.

i feel bad about it really.i so wanted steve nash to win his 3rd straight mvp because he is better than nowitzki!
but if everyone thinks he deserves it then there is nothing i can do about it. i just have to accept the fact that the mvp trophy is going to a big choker.

How do you think the Golden State crowd will treat Derek Fisher?
He had a great regular season, but flopped in the playoffs. He was the primary reason why the Mavs had the 3rd or 4th best regular season record in NBA history. I watched all the Mavs games with the exception of about 2 or 3 all season. But, Avery Johnson made a mistake by pretty much benching the regulars the last week or 10 days of the season. I think they became too complacent and it looked like they lost a huge edge in the playoffs, mostly from Dirk. He's an excellent player for a big man of 7 foot, fast, good ball-handler, good shooter, 90% from the free throw, good rebounder. His only weakness is inconsistency on defense. Sometimes he looks too timid. He should bulk up to 30 more pounds and he'll be a force. But, yes, he deserves the MVP.How many combined championship rings do the Spurs have?
What? No way Dirk is winning!! He could not even get his team past the first round in the playoffs. If he wins the MVP award, it will be a disgrace to the NBA. The MVP award is supposed to go to the best all around player and the guy that can lead his team to the championship. Dirk is not that guy. Steve Nash is the guy that should win it because he can lead his team to victory. The Suns are the team to beat this year and Nash is the reason why. Yeah he sure is. I won't say he had a great year cause he did and he was a big reason for the Mav's greatness during the REGULAR season, but in the playoffs he sure decided not to show up. I think the M.V.P award should be given out after the playoffs cause if he was the real M.V.P. then why is he home and players like Nash, Duncan, James, still ballin?Lighter. After seeing them suffer in the playoffs. This should ease mine and his pain.

YEP, JUST CONFIRMED BY ESPNgranted I am disappointed by his lackidasical attitude in the playoffs. This is not his typical behavior though. Many times before Dirk deserved it, and never got it. So I think he is due this honour.

yea hes reportedly gonna get the mvp. i dont like it at all his numbers are somewhat down from last year while nash has increased his yet he doesnt get the MVP? if you wanted to make an argument that nash shouldnt have got the last two i could listen but this one is just a joke. i hate how people go by the win total. it plays a factor but not the whole thing. the mavs didnt get 67 wins because of dirk. they got 67 wins because that whole team is growing. they have young players who have stepped up their game in howard and harris. they are the reason why the team got to 67 wins not dirk. dirk is the reason they win most of their games but he isnt the reason they had this great season.i really like this stat above all. simply put when the mavs didnt have dirk due to injury or any other reason this year they had 3-0 record(i dont count the 4th game dirk didnt play since the whole starting rosters sat out)while when nash missed games the suns record was 2-4 when nash missed six games. simply put nash is more valuable.
i can also hear a good debate for kobe too. i dont think he is over nash but i wouldnt be mad if kobe was mvp.

but i do like to mention dirk may be mvp but he isnt the star a team wants. he doesnt drive to the hoop that whole warriors series but nash bust up his nose nonstop bleeding and when he got in for that 1 possesion what does he do? drives to the hoop. dirk needs more guts. seriousl how can a 7 foot big man who shoots 90% at the line not drive?!?
