I'm going to have to go with Miami defending the east and Phoenix taking the West from Dallas in seven games. I think that since Dirk Nowitzki is probably going to win MVP, that will motivate Steve Nash to not let Dirk take the whole season from him. Phoenix's fast paced game style and three perennial all-stars, can make it past any round. In the East, I would normally pick Detroit to go to the finals, but since they might meet Miami in the second round, they'll lose to them in seven games and Miami will go on to the finals to play Phoenix. The thing with Miami is that they are built for the playoffs. Plus, Dwyane Wade will soon be the unstoppable force that he was in the playoffs last year.What's your oppinion of YAO MING?

I like Miami and Dallas, again.
Detroit is a good team and the only other Eastern conference team that I could see making the finals, but Miami is getting healthy and Eddie Jones has proved to be a great acquisition for the Heat.
The West is ALOT trickier. Phoenix is capable of beating any team on any given night. Denver is surging. San Antonio is steady and playing great ball right now. And Houston is healthy and playing excellent.
Breaking my opinion down:
East:
Miami wins East - 50%
Detroit wins East - 40%
Other wins East - 10%
West:
Dallas wins West - 30%
Phoenix wins West - 20%
San Antonio wins West - 20%
Houston wins West - 15%
Denver wins West - 10%

The teams that will win their conference for both east and west will be the team with the best player... in the east its LeBron and his cavs will win he is just to good and he will step up in the end.(i would know i watched him play in high school being from cleveland).In the west its a tough decision...you have nash amare and marion...but also dirrk howard and terry...but dallas has been there before so they will pull it out...
in the finals i feel that lebron will outplay dirk but dallas will win in 7 games
