Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan are two of the Greatest Shooting Guards ever to play the game?
Well, the debate of who is better will go on forever, I am now content at closing the debate, I have made up my mind, I've not chosen one of the two but both. These two guys are two of the greatest players ever to play the game. Kobe Bryant is 28 years old, and he has so much more accomplishments that is in store for him. I strongly believe that he will win more Championships. Kobe Bryant is Kobe Bryant. Kobe Bryant is not Michael Jordan, but he Developed his game from MJ's. The things that he learned from the courts, Incredible offensive moves/ defensive stopper, dedication, work ethnic, swagger, killer instincts, etc.only resembles that of the great Michael Jordan. It is unfair to say that Kobe Bryant is better than MJ, but let me assure you this, there will not be another player close to Comparison as Bryant, No one can hit the fadeaway perfectly like Jordan other than Bryant. No one dedicates themselves to the game of basketball than him. First came Mike, now comes Kobe.

Can dallas win against warriors?
umm yeah not sure what the question was, but I agree they are the best guards in the history of basketball, great in their own rights. I think Kobe Bryant has more skill overall, but I can't say he's better than Jordan. What happened to KOBE BRYANT? He done all of that ball-hogging and still couldn't win MVP?
i completely agree. Thank you for finally closing the argument.Yeah, I agree. But I don't like Kobe's attitude. I understand that attitude doesn't really affect shooting or stuff like that but I think it just makes Kobe one notch lower in his grade.
Will the Utah Jazz make it past the 2nd Round?
JORDAN all the way! Where do you think Kobe got his moves? Jordan's a legend. He made those moves. Kobe copied Jordan and then practiced practiced practiced. Jordan will always be remembered for his awesome moves while Kobe well let's just say he's known for his BAD attitude.GO SUNS!
Please, never put Kobe Bryant in the same sentence with MJ again. I just cannot agree with you. They are on totally different levels. As much as I like Kobe, he is nowhere as good as Jordan. Kobe just mimics Jordan. While MJ was creating all new moves nobody had ever seen and actually innovating, Kobe was just learning to imitate him. The result? Kobe is just another imitation of the greatest player ever. Unless the Lakers get another superstar, Kobe will not win any more rings. He rode Shaq's coattails to get his rings.
Do the world a favor and stop trying to think. Jordan is and will always be better, yes I will agree that Kobe does some things better then Jordan ever did, but he is simply just not as good of an athlete that Jordan was. Jordan's first step and hang time abilities go unmatched in the history of the game.
What ever happend to harold miner?
First, that's a statement, not a question... but to compare these guys isn't as hard as it seems. Jordan made his team win... he willed it. Kobe likes to score a lot of points, but he does not know how to will them to win consistently and he doesn't make his teammates better. He shoots too much and doesn't always play lock-down defense.Though they are comparable in height, weight, build, and wristbands, I don't think you should compare the two players beyond that. Michael Jordan won a champsionship in college and made the winning shot to beat Georgetown over Patrick Ewings Hoyas, and 2 Gold Medals in the Olympics (his first while STILL in college and second with the Original Dream Team) and 6 champsionships the NBA with the Bulls. Michael Jordan was the collegiate player of the year, Kobe jumped right from highschool and did not truly develop until after his 3rd or 4th year while Jordan was also the Rookie of the Year in 1985 (Allen Iverson won in 1996, NOT Kobe). Jordan's list of accomplishments are as follows:
Five-time NBA Most Valuable Player (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98)
Ten-time All-NBA First Team selection (1986-87 to 1992-93, 1995-96 to 1997-98)
Selected in 1996 as one of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History"
A member of six Chicago Bulls NBA championship teams (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97 and 1997-98)
Six-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player
The 1987-88 NBA Defensive Player of the Year and record nine-time NBA All-Defensive First Team selection (1987-88 to 1992-93, 1995-96 to 1997-98)
How many defensive First Teams has Kobe been on exactly? 3 first teams and 1 2nd team over his 10 year career to date. Not exactly the same, is it?
I think to be considered the greatest, you have to play both ends and excel. During Jordan's prime, no one did it better. During Kobe's, it seems he's good, but not great.

Oh, and 6 rings for Michael and 3 rings for Kobe, but he could only win with Shaq who is one of the top 5 or 6 centers to ever play the game... Michael had Bill Cartwright, Will Perdue and Bill Wennington for the first 3 championships and Luc Longley and Robert Parrish for the second 3 championships --- not exactly dynamos to compete with Shaq. Cartwright and Parrish were on the downsides of their careers, I might add.
Also, please consider that Jordan was never arrested and never publicly embarrassed his family, team or city with such serious charges. So he gambled in Atlantic City and Vegas... it was his money to blow. He never hurt anyone with his gambling, that we know of.
Jordan had to sit out almost all of his 2nd season due to a broken bone in his foot, but still came back and helped the Bulls make the playoffs though they would've had a higher draft pick if he hadn't!
No one, in this era of the NBA, dominated the game as much as Jordan did. Pound-for-pound, inch for inch, he changed the game AND the league and made it so exciting to watch. Kobe is in the Jordan mold, but he will never be as great or complete a player as Michael Jordan.
Does anyone think the Bulls have a chance against the Pistons?
