How do I improve my hook shots from the top of the key by the foul line?
They always seem to be off to the right even when I know or try to before I release it throw it to "the right more" because I know its going to be off. Any advice much appreciated especially if your name is Earving.

Who are the best low-post players of All-Time?
*Unless* your name is Earving, you shouldn't even be attempting hook shots from the top of the key. If the positioning of the defender requires a hook from the top of the key, take advantage of how close the defender is by moving around him to the basket OR PASS THE DAMN BALL. Otherwise a squared up jumper has a much higher percentage of going in, a higher percentage of drawing contact and a called foul, and a smaller percentage of being stripped by a backside defender.More important than being able to shoot the hook is knowing WHEN to shoot the hook. And the top of the key (unless your name is Earving or Abdul-Jabbar Sr. and the clock is ticking down) is not when you should choose to pull out your hook.
Dwight Howard and Lebron James...?
keep on practicing..if you know they are going off to the right.. throw a little more in that direction..

I bet you won't attempt a hook shot when you're shooting from the foul line!
How can basketball be fixed so it isn't so boring?
1st tip - shoot your hook shots much closer. I usually go for hook shots from 5 to 7 feet away from the basket.2nd tip - Practice. It may be easier to shoot a running hook shot. If you run to your left, then the ball naturally has leftward momentum and will not fade to the right.
