Spurs the best team in the league?
Maybe it's because the refs aren't robots. Despite what the average fan thinks, a ref can do a much better job than some random fan who thinks he knows everything. The occasional bad calls might go the way of certain preferred players on winning teams, perhaps because the ref is giving that player the benefit of the doubt, because that player has earned it. They have to make split-second decisions. It's not even favoring, so much as "taking the word" of someone you would believe more. Also, maybe those "certain players on winning teams" know how to sell a call. They know what they're doing.
How come kobe gets suspended for throwing elbows and Bowen doesn't ?
there are some players who get an advantage because they have a reputation of not getting calls in certain situations like if iverson drives the ref knows how good he dribbles and he doesnt expect him to travel and doesnt notice it sometimes so he focuses on his reputation on getting fouled and pay more attention to the player who is guarding him. but there are situations when they get caught like when the lakers lost to the rockets in overtime before because of kobe's travelling violation, its because kobe knows that he can take the ball but he got too confident and got called for travelingWho is the third best pure shooting guard ever to play in the NBA?
Refs are refs. They make some bad calls and some good calls. The good calls, like good deeds, rarely go as noticed as the bad calls (unless some imbecile like Billy Packer is commenting on what a good call HE thinks it was).Refs, if they put their minds to it, could certainly sway the course of a game. But as I used to tell my players when I was doing some coaching...you gotta play through bad calls. Take care of your business. The refs aren't going to turn it around for you if they're making calls you don't like. You gotta hold your head up and play through as best you can.
Leave it to the coach to holler about it :)
