Answers:

Do you know where i can get an authentic Deron williams jersey?

no...Read Rick Reilly's article (last page of Sports Illustrated a few weeks ago) about how much better it would be for him to play in college rather than go pro...

Oden would have a much better time and LEARN something in college, but the money and fame of the NBA were too good to pass up for him...

still think it's a bad idea for his career though...

Ginobli!!!!!!>>?

nahh

Will suns prevent chris webber from scoring 84 points against kobe in the nba finals?

maybe it got into his head a little bit, with all the media and stuff. but another year or two in college wouldnt be so bad.

I have 2 play in any usa college 2 go 2 the nba?

Yes, I think it's a good idea. Basketball is basically high contact sport. If he opted to play for college for one more year and got seriously injured that means he won't have a chance to have an NBA career. If he injured while playing in the NBA, at least he got the money and contract to continue the education or maybe invest his money on something.

Everybody knows about verginia tech right? so are yao ming and the guy who kill the students brothers?

Very good idea to go into the draft and get drafted as the #2 pick overall. He could hang around for another year and have another "Kevin Durant" like freshman come in or have someone else have a great season and go down to the 4th or 5th pick. If Joakim Noah had went into the draft last year, he probably would have been the #1 pick but now he is probably going to fall somewhere between picks 10-15 because he waited. So I think it's good that Oden is leaving while his stock is high.

Are Vince Carter and Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) related?

i would like him to stay in college 1 more year to gain some experience and win a national championship before even considering the NBA draft. if he would stay in college he could be a very dominant center for any NBA team for a long time

Is the warriors going to win the 2008 nba championship?

It's a great idea. He put up great numbers for a center in college and Being the number one pick is nothing to shy away from. Look at Noah, he would have been number 1 last year but he came back. The best he can hope for is somewhere around 8-12. That a difference of 10 million bucks over the life of a rookie contract.

Who will win it all this year?

A few years ago, I would have answered that this was a bad move. I like to think that college was purely about the scholar/athlete and the lack of commercial exploition and sponsorship.

But now, I think it is fine for a player to do this. College is all about money now, just check out how much some of these universities are charging for tickets and raking in on their sports programs. How much do college coaches get paid now?! Its getting so ridiculous the common man can't go to the game because of high "required donations" just to have the privelege of buying season tickets.

The player should do what is best for him/her - because the college is out for themselves.

Does it blow that tnt has all the nba playoffs. and they over lap games so we miss the first?

Last I heard he said that he had not developed his game enough and was gonna stay in college one more year. We have been looking to get him in the draft though since we are the worst team in the league.the Grizzlies suck but I gotta support my home team

Who is the nba playoffs MVP so far?

grandpa oden needs to go pro,hes 38 years old

Should the Coaches stop whining instead of getting their players upset and get in foul trouble?

Greg Oden is probably entering the 2007 NBA Draft. I think it isnt totally bad. This year he could be a 1st pick or second behind Kevin Durant. But if he declared to enter the 2008 NBA Draft he would probably be a definate 1st pick. But whatever Greg Oden chooses does not really matter because whatever pick he will be in the Draft he will always be a great player.

Pistons, 2007 NBA CHAMPS?

he could of used just 1 more year in college to improve but he probably didn't want to risk injury.

Will KG go to Lakers?

No.

What is the worst nba record in nba history?

I think it is because he might do really well.

Spurs or suns? who will advance?

I have seen Oden interviewed and he seems like a well grounded very intelligent young man. If he can handle having so much money he is definitely making the right choice. If my son had turned down a $100,000 dollar job while in college to work for IBM or somebody I would have shot him lol

Speed or hops?

`I think as an exploratory move its not bad. He doesn't have to go. He is a great talent going against college level players, but guys like Duncan, Greg Foster, KG, and Yow Ming will tear him up at least for a while. Not to mention what Shaq will do. Same for Hibbard, from Georgetown. The first few seasons will be confidence shakers or builders depending on the outcome. But my money is on the veterans.
Right now his footwork and some of his other fundamentals, like catching the ball in a ready position to shoot, as opposed to catching the ball, then getting position to shoot, and then shooting. The former is what you do at the pro level, the latter is what you can get away with at the college level. Quicker reactions needed, longer games, longer seasons, much more contact in the paint. All impact on Oden, Hibbard, and Green (Georgetown) differently, each will respond differently. History says the odds are against them. But seeing what the prospects are, getting a sense of where they might be drafted and what the salary potential may be are not bad moves. I think Hibbard is the best suited to go now, then Green, and then Oden. I think with more experience at the college level, the better off they will each be at the pro level. Anyway, that's my take.

How much did the Spurs pay the refs for that game?

Not dumb at all. He knows he's going to go no. 1 or 2 in the draft. He's going to be making a lot of money. He shouldn't risk staying in college another year and possibly sustaining an injury that would hurt him in the draft. Or he could do like Joakim Noah; by staying another year in college and not doing as well (stats wise) as he did last year, he lost 2.5% in position in the draft. If you're going really high in the draft, you should always go then. Actually there should be a rule that makes them play at least 3 years on the college level, but since there isn't, he made the correct choice for him.

Another bad game and another victory. Can the Cav's touch the Pistons and moreover can they recover?

Bad idea. Ohio St needs him to win games. If he leaves, then the Buckeyes will have no big guy in the middle. Also, he's only a Freshman. Why is he so eager to go in the draft? He still has a few years in college so why doesn't he stay?

Why is the NBA so lobsided? Does anyone even watch the Eastern Conference games?

yes because there is no reason for him to stay in college when he could be making possibly 10 million a year

Does anyone else think Kevin Garnett is just a little too Loyal to the Wolves?

Well he knows that he can make money in the NBA. That's what the decision is being based on.

I did a search on the show LOST, why do the Dallas Mavericks keep on showing up?

I say if your good enough why not go. Sure he could still play college ball, But its about the money. He's definitely gone get it if he come out. Top 3 pick in the draft.

High school hoops?

There's always the small chance that he could get injured in college and lower his chances of getting picked, making him never able to get a well-paying career again. As much as I'd like to see college players stay for more than one year the financial incentives are too astronomical for someone to reject - after all college players don't get paid anything besides their scholarship, it's not like they merely get paid less.

However I feel that Oden still has some skills that he could work on that are easier to improve within a college environment rather than the physical environment of the NBA. If he had foul trouble during the NCAA tournament, he could easily get "posterized" by some of the faster players who drive to the basket in the NBA. He will likely be a good center but I don't think he could match up to Amare/Dwight Howard/Yao at least at the rookie level. Besides, #1 draft picks have high expectations, and he could turn out to be good but still play second fiddle to Kevin Durant and get a lot of criticism for being picked first.

What they have 2 do?

i think its a right idea

How many pairs of basketball shoes do you own?

he'd probably get more publicity if he stayed in college but a million dollars is hard to resist and there are a lot of other players who have made stupider decisions than him.

Who is the worst ref in the nba?

He'll get paid $3 million next year to play in the NBA. How much will Ohio State pay him?

In addition, the sooner he starts his NBA career, the sooner he'll get to his free agent years and earn a maximum contract.

He'll be able to buy his own college when he's through. This is a no brainer.

2007 NBA Draft?

yes if he wants to go for the money because he might get hurt in osu next year if he stayed and he will #1 durant #2
but unless he gets beefy he will just be a younger dikemba mutumbo

Do u think the pistons can still get it (the championship) since they lost that one game against the bulls?

Yes i do because, What happens if he gets hurt in the next year of college or tears a ACL or something a Carreer threating injury. Oden is well ready for the NBA and I think this caliber of a player only comes around once in a blue moon he will be a great pick up for a team like Memphis or Boston.
