Stern is old already lah.cannot see or analyse situation properly anymore. Maybe he got some benefits from Spurs so he side with them. Anyway, I find his decision unreasonable and unfair. I actually like Stern, but I think it's Stu Jackson who made the mistake of suspending Stoudemire and Diaw. I think this whole leaving the bench stuff is idiotic, if they don't join the fight. Stoudemire and Diaw had a natural reaction, to protect their teammate, so they instinctively moved toward the altercation, which really wasn't that big.I am not a Suns fan, but the Spurs are a dirty team. I'm sick of Popovich also. He said that the shove wasn't that bad and Nash "fell down". If it happened to his team, he'd be screaming about it. Now I see how San Antonio has won all their titles, with players like Bowen and Horry playing dirty, starting fights, and injurying other players and having them suspended. I don't know if the Suns can come back now. Stoudemire is a much bigger loss for them than Horry is for the Spurs.

Stu Jackson had to do what he had to do it's in the rules from what happened with the New York and Miami way back yonder. It's too protect players and it's a good rule but if you do it you're going to get suspended there's no if's, and's, or but's about it. So Suns fans quit whining because there's no way this series is onesided otherwise the Spurs would have swept it.I personally do not care for David Stern. For what it is worth he does seem to try to make decisions that are best for the NBA and has done a good job.
It doesn't hurt that so many guys actually came in the league at beginning of his tenure and tried to be the greatest ever. This would be diametrically opposed to the NBA of the 1970's that was full of guys that would drink beer at half time and snorted Coke away from the game.
Bird and Magic and their respective TEAMS made it hard to do such things and hope to be successful at the same time. That made it easy for Stern and the NBA executives to market the game of basketball.

I think the NBA is trying to pay back the Favor to him and the spurs. Did you also see that Timmy left the Bench when their was another confrontation with a suns and spurs player?
