Durant. He has the better all around play, He can shoot it outside, drive it in play D and get the rebound. He is like a young KG. Oden is a great player but durant has better all around play. Oden can rebound and block but is not as great of a shooter. Plus Durant can play every posistion except for PGWhy is Nowitzki on the short list for MVP?

but Oden has the ability to be an incredibly dominant big man, while Durant has the propention to become one of the elite scorers in the league, with solid defense to boot!
I would take Oden in a heartbeat if I'm Portland.
Oden will be the better player immediately entering the NBA, at least that's my prediction. Durant may need time to adjust playing in a league with many players at his height or more, and can match his quickness. he'll probably need time to adjust his game to that before he really breaks loose.

First of all they are both simply amazing, there is no huge drop from one to another. I think right now, Oden is better, his body is more NBA ready, and he can make a impact right away on any team. Also consider that Centers are such a commodity in the NBA, get one and you just filled the hardest position. In the long run I see Durant becoming a Garnet type player, it may take a few seconds for him to reach his peak but he will last longer and be more versatile. It will extremely hard to guard Durant, who do you put on him? Put a big guy on him and he can take him out on the perimeter and blow by him. Put a small guy and he will get abused. The only downside I see to Durant is his strength, hes quite skinny and will take a while to fill out his frame.DURANT has a nice shooters touch... You can tell hes a scorer and must practice his shot alot... Oden might be a big defensive body and shot blocker.. but DURANT has SKILLS... DURANTS BETTER!!. My 2 cents.

Depends on what your team needs and what are the categories. If Oden and Durant played one on one, Durant would most like win (due to speed.) But in a 5 on 5, most likely Oden would get the best of Durant is he enters the paint. Durant could stay out at the top of the key and find great match ups against Oden.
